This training package will have an exclusive focus on leadership development, equipping University graduates, young unemployed people, young professionals with less than 5 years of working experience and would-be entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and insight to achieve more than they thought possible through the development of leadership and other relevant skills. -If you are a young University student or graduate -If you are young professional with less than 5 years of working experience -If you are interested in starting your own company -If you are interested in developing your leadership skills further; -If you believe it is important to invest in professional and personal development to achieve success...then YOUNG LEADERS project is of great interest to you! Summary: Our project entitled Developing and enhancing leadership skills for young managers in times of crisis: an innovative training package for European young professionals is addressed to young people aiming to develop or enhance their leadership skills. In the rapidly changing and unstable business environment that EU firms operate nowadays, there is a fundamental shift in how organizations compete and in how they are managed. In this new era of economic uncertainty, leadership becomes critically important, as great leaders are the basis of all business achievements. Companies globally are striving to identify and develop outstanding leaders to face the challenges of a highly volatile market and do more with less. Thus older models of leadership are not appropriate. This project entitled YOUNG LEADERS will train Young Business Leaders (YBLs-University graduates trying to enter into the workforce, young professionals who want to progress to senior management positions and would-be entrepreneurs) to develop their leadership skills. The main aim of YOUNG LEADERS is to provide a coherent, innovative and complete training package to young people in Cyprus, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Latvia on new leadership skills needed during turbulent economic times. The training material, which will be developed by an academic/research team of Panteion University in Greece, will be transferred to the other four EU partners involved. Each partner will adjust this training package within their local environment, taking into account cultural, language, business-related and other factors that are relevant to their own country. At the end of the project, the final product will be a complete YOUNG LEADERS training package, which will be available both electronically and in hard copy. Description: YOUNG LEADERS aims to develop an innovative training package for the enhancement of leadership skills among young business people. Main aims and objectives: a) Transfer and further develop from the Greek partner (P1) an innovative training package and methodology for developing new leaders in the four EU countries (Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia and Bulgaria). The training will embrace all the latest developments in the leadership field, still not available in the receiving countries. B) By developing employability skills such as leadership skills, according to the needs of the labour market, new jobs will be created, helping in decreasing unemployment 2

Impact envisaged: a)develop hundreds of new leaders across Europe in the following 5-10 years, who can contribute in firms becoming more competitive. b)through the development of new companies, youth unemployment will also decrease. c)moreover the project will assist professional trainers/vet people to enhance their knowledge and skills in the leadership area and equip them with a powerful and contemporary training tool. Moreover, everyone interested in having access to the training material, he/she could visit our E-learning training course. The purpose of the e-learning platform developed is to reach potential users (YBLs, young entrepreneurs, University graduates) from across Europe and abroad and also training/vet organisations wishing to expand and update their training material on the leadership topic. 9 innovative training package for European young professionals (2012- Product 'YOUNG LEADERS TRAINING PACKAGE' Title: YOUNG LEADERS TRAINING PACKAGE Product Type: program or curricula Marketing Text: An innovative training package and methodology for developing new leaders in the four EU countries (Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia and Bulgaria). The training embraced all the latest developments in the leadership field, which were still not available in the receiving countries. Description: The package includes a complete training curricula for a large number of leadership-related subjects, a trainers' manual and a description of the training methodology that needs to be used in each country. The training also includes theoretical applications, practical guidelines and case studies, for the development of future leaders in businesses. Target group: -Interested individuals and firms -Young workers -Young unemployed people -Entrepreneurship centres -Youth Associations -VET/training organisations -Employees and Employers' Association -Chambers of Commerce and Industry -Universities/Research Centres. Result: A complete training package on executive leadership programmes targeted to YBLs was developed which was adapted to the market, to the cultural, economic and other national conditions of Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia and Cyprus.You can also find the training package online by following the link Area of application: Development of a new leadership programme in order to enhance the necessary skills of young managers in times of crisis. The training product prepared will be used on a daily basis by the partner organisations for their own training and consulting activities. The training product will be commercialized by the consortium once the project is completed through the YOUNGLEADERS website. By paying a small fee any interested individual or company will have full access to the training content, the trainers' manual and the online lectures that will be made available. Moreover the YOUNGLEADERS training package will be available in hard copy for interested buyers in all partners involved in the project. 11 Product 'PROMOTIONAL VIDEO' Developing and enhancing leadership skills for young managers in times of crisis: an innovative training package for European young professionals (2012- Title: PROMOTIONAL VIDEO Product Type: others Marketing Text: A promotional video was prepared by a subcontracting company to disseminate widely the YBL project and inform the general public about the activities implemented. Description: The video presents the aims and objectives of YOUNG LEADERS, the pilot testing seminars implemented in all participating countries and some of the comments of the participants. Result: The project team produced an innovative and fresh promotional video in order to raise awareness for the project. 12 Product 'NEWSLETTERS' Developing and enhancing leadership skills for young managers in times of crisis: an innovative training package for European young professionals (2012- Title: NEWSLETTERS Product Type: others Marketing Text: The project newsletters served as the main information channel of the findings of the project and every partner invited their contacts to subscribe. It aimed to disseminate widely the results of the projects at local, EU and international level. Description: The 1st newsletter included: -An introduction to the project -Description of the training needs from each participant country according to the national reports. -Articles regarding the 1st meeting in each country with the External Advisory Committees. The 2nd newsletter included: - A short introduction to the pilot testing seminars -An article for the implementation of the seminar in each country with photos of the training -Overall statistics data -A poster presented by Dr. Dimitra Ioardanoglou (P1) in the International Scientific Conference Economics and Managements which was held in Latvia. The poster described the aim of the YBL project, the essential leadership skills in time of crisis, the methodoloigy and the stages in the development of the innovative leadership training package of EU Young professionals. The 3rd newsletter included: -Articles from all partners involved for the final dissemination events implemented in their country -Photos from the events Target group: -Interested individuals and firms -Young workers -Young unemployed people -Entrepreneurship centres -Youth Associations -VET/training organisations -Employees and Employers' Association -Chambers of Commerce and Industry -Universities/Research Centres. Description: The brochure presents the title of the project, a general introduction of the project, the mission of the project and why leadership skills are important, the target group, an info graphic with statistic data of the pilot testing programme, the three categories of the management skills, which organisations can benefit from the programme, testimonials, contact details, the partners of the consortium and their logos and the symbol of the Lifelong Learning Programme. Description: More specifically the website contained information, which is available in all partnership languages, on the following areas: -Short introduction to the the LdV ToI programme -YOUNG LEADERS aims and objectives -upcoming events and training seminars -links to related resources/websites -news and announcements -summarised results and reports -signing up to the mailing list -Weekly information about the developments of YOUNG LEADERS. -Updated worldwide information, news and articles related to leadership skills development. -Information about the pilot training seminars in all participating countries. -Information about our project team -Information about the Advisory Committees in each country. Target group: General public, National Agency, EC, interested stakeholders across Europe and abroad, partners of the consortium (private area) Result: The project website contributes to disseminating widely the results of the project, projectgenerated deliverables at local, EU and international level. Since we planned to attract a large number of interested stakeholders to the social media of the project, the website assisted in driving back traffic from the website to the social media and vice versa. The website is available in English, Greek, Latvian, Lithuanian and Bulgarian. Area of application: The project website serves as the main information channel for the partners and the stakeholders and as the most important exploitation tool once the project is completed. 16 Product 'FACEBOOK PAGE' Developing and enhancing leadership skills for young managers in times of crisis: an innovative training package for European young professionals (2012- Title: FACEBOOK PAGE Product Type: others Marketing Text: A strong network of people interested in the development of leadership skills among young people was developed through YBL facebook page, which assisted us to disseminate the news of our project and several events organized by the project team, to present the final product results and to exploit the training package financially once the project is completed. Description: A short description of YOUNG LEADERS has been included in the project Facebook page and also relevant information concerning the meetings of the project team and the progress made so far has been posted. In general the facebook page contains: -Description of the aims and the objectives of the project -News/articles with the main activities going on and the findings of the project so far -Information about the events that will take place during the lifetime of the project -Information about the upcoming training activities in the four RP countries -Weekly information about the developments of YOUNG LEADERS -Updated worldwide information, news and interesting articles related to leadership skills development -Updated informations about upcoming events, trainings and the progress of the project. Target group: YBLs, general public, interested stakeholders, VET and training organisations, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Trade Associations, Employees and Employers' Associations Result: The project team reached a large number of young people by using social media. Through the Facebook page of YBL Project and the use of other social media accounts, the project was disseminated widely across a number of users and interested stakeholders from all around the world. This was the most efficient and cost-effective method for disseminating information to all interested stakeholders. Our aim was to promote the results on National, EU and international level; thus all partners following the detailed dissemination plan developed for their country implemented several dissemination activities in order to reach a large number of young people, which was the main target group. Description: The dissemination activities concerning our project started from the beginning of the life of the project from all partners aiming to disseminate widely the objectives of the project and its results. Target group: University graduates, young managers and young professionals, senior and experienced managers, employees, teachers, trainees, unemployed. Result: A great number of dissemination activities in all partners countries.the plan was prepared by each partner and presented in detail the dissemination activities implemented during the whole duration of the project by each partner involved. Area of application: A balanced geographic spread of dissemination was achieved through our partnership. We disseminated widely the results and the activities implemented during the whole duration of the project.
