The European Quality Mark (EQM) is a quality mark jointly developed by partners from eight European countries. The aim was to develope a transparent process of quality review for educaitonal providers in lifelong learning (Non-formal learning providers). Beschreibung: RECALL is based on materials developed and experience gained through the Leonardo da Vinci project ALL - Accreditation of Lifelong Learning, a project with five Eropean countries including 3 RECALL partners; Iceland, Norway and United Kingdom. Some of the products from the ALL project can be found on In RECALL the focus was on developing further a common European quality guidelines and procedures for lifelong learning providers. The result is the European Quality Mark (EQM). The EQM is a transparent assessment process where the learning provider gets the opportunity to review own processes by using a set of indicators that are based on commonly agreed standards. It helps organizations to identify, what they do well and what is missing from their quality system. The transparency of the self-assessment form gives the provider the opportunity to make an action plan for improvement and actually implement good quality practice before asking for the external evaluation of the practice. Beschreibung: A descriptive document focusing on bringing forth the partnership s ideology of how the EQM can become a sustainable system based on funding from the EU. The EQM is described and how it can be implemented. Benefits for the learning provider and the service user are described. The roles and tasks of the European Authority and the National Authorities introduced. The EQM website is described and a review of its content given, and finances related to the model are reviewed. 10 Produkt 'Conference on Quality in Lifelong Learning' Titel: Conference on Quality in Lifelong Learning Produkttyp: andere Marketing Text: A conference where experts and stakeholders in the reviewed how quality issues can be developed in lifelong learning Beschreibung: A conference was held in Portugal, October 2007, where four experts and relevant stakeholders were brought together in order to present and focus on quality in lifelong learning. Project partners presented the focus and products of the RECALL product and a provider presented her experience of using the Assessment Form for quality improvement. More information on the conference can be reviewed on the EQM and RECALL websites. They are written for the provider in order to guide them through going through the process. Each step of the process is described and examples provided. The guidelines describe the role and responsibilities of the assessor as well as the competences required of the assessors. The main focus is on guiding the assessor through assessing the provider s answers in the EQM Assessment Form, describing assessment procedures for the different steps in the EQM process. The guidelines are the actual training tool for the assessor. They are available in all partner languages in print and on the EQM website. 13 Produkt 'The European Quality Mark (EQM) Assessment Form for Providers and Assessors' Titel: The European Quality Mark (EQM) Assessment Form for Providers and Assessors Produkttyp: Evaluierungsmethoden Marketing Text: Assesssment tool for lifelong learning providers who aim at improving quality in their services Beschreibung: The EQM Assessment Form is the main tool produced by the RECALL project. It contains the quality criteria set for a provider that works toward being awarded the EQM. The criteria has been developed further after the ALL project through cooperation with 22 providers from 8 different countries. The Assessment Form consists of a four-part questionnaire and a section of general information. Each of the sections looks at the effectiveness of different aspects of the learning provider s organisation and training provsion. The form can be used by any provider that wishes to review their quality practice and develop it further. A provider can check the processes used within your organisation by answering the 29 questions presented. The tool is available in all partners languages and available on the EQM website. It contains information about the project and partnership. It describes the EQM process and gives access to all of the products and tools developed. In addition to the products, the website contains examples of quality processes and material (documents) from providers and partners that participated in the RECALL project. It also contains useful links to related links. The website is financed for two years after the lifetime of the project. It is open to everyone interested and administrated by the promoter. 16 Produkt 'Final Conference' Titel: Final Conference Produkttyp: andere Marketing Text: Dissemination conference for the products and ideology of the RECALL proejct introducing the European Quality Mark model Beschreibung: The Final conference was held in Vilnius, Lithuanis on November 28th The main purpose of the event was to launch the final products and disseminated them among potential users as well as raising awareness of quality in lifelong learning. The conference was held during the Lithuanian national Lifelong learning week. A summary of the conference can be found on the EQM Website.
