Who is the service for? Adults 18+ with substance misuse problems that meet the assessment criteria. Referral from anyone, including the client, by telephone, letter, or email. Residential placement is subject to appropriate and satisfactory assessments being completed by both the local authority (social services) and the agency delivering treatment services. Assessments for Wirral residents are carried out on behalf of the Social Services Department (page 72) by ARCH Initiatives (page 12). The acceptance of a referral to any residential project is dependent on meeting the acceptance criteria for that specific project. Drug and Alcohol Services 25

Sharp 17 Rodney Street, Liverpool, L1 9EF Tel: 0151 703 0679 Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm SHARP (Self Help Addiction Recovery Programme) offers non-residential day treatment for adults with drug and alcohol dependence. The programme runs for 48 days over 11 weeks and is focused on total abstinence and ongoing recovery through networks such as 12-step fellowships.
