Instructions for MAC users MAC users have not been joined to the Active Directory Domain. ICT is unable to capture GroupWise archives you may have on your computer automatically or confirm if you have MS Outlook installed. If you have Microsoft Office 2011 on your computer MS Outlook should already be installed. If you do not have MS Office 2011 installed or are unsure if Outlook is installed please contact the Employee Service Desk at ext. 4357. Some instructions may be slightly different than what you will be prompted with on the screen. Please read through all instructions in this guide before beginning. In order to capture any GroupWise archives you may have on your computer you will need to install a FTP client. Below are the instructions for the entire process. If you already have an FTP client installed, please go directly to the section about configuring the FTP client. Once you have copied your archive to the FTP site stop archiving until you have migrated to Outlook. Where is my GroupWise Archive? Installing and configuring ftp for GroupWise archive on a mac Open a browser and go to the following link http://www.nchsoftware.com/classic/i ndex.html Click on download Classic FTP Client for Mac If prompted specify the Save As and Where in the dialogue box and click on Save. instructions for mac users - ftp and gw archives.docx Page 3 of 10
The ftp client may download automatically and you will be prompted to Open in Finder Navigate to the Save as location for ClassicFTP and double click to open To install Drag the ClassicFTP icon to the Applications folder. Double click on the Applications folder You can sort by Date Added by clicking on the list icon Double click on the ClassicFTP application to Install instructions for mac users - ftp and gw archives.docx Page 5 of 10

This will bring up the FTP Site Properties window. To configure the FTP server use the following settings. FTP Server is gwarchive.wlu.ca User Name is your email username Password is your email password Secure FTP: Use standard FTP Port is Default:21 Click on Add Site A confirmation message will show the test connection was successful Click OK instructions for mac users - ftp and gw archives.docx Page 8 of 10
In the FTP file locate the GroupWise archive folder, highlight the folder and select the green arrow to copy the folder to the server. instructions for mac users - ftp and gw archives.docx Page 9 of 10
When completed the file should show in the window on the right and a confirmation window showing the upload is completed will appear below. At this point the GroupWise archives are copied over and you can close FTP. Once your upload has completed successfully you can close the FTP client.
