Six Tips for Graphic Design Sizzle (CORE) With guidance from a teacher, the Middle Level students portrayed in this short video create a poster that includes important information and catches the attention of their classmates. The suggestions given in the program include the following: Use graphics because a picture says 1,000 words. Group facts in separate boxes (divide and conquer). Answer the five W s (who, what, where, when, and why). Use the Z formula which follows the natural progression of the readers eyes. Reverse the font and catch the readers attention (e.g., white on black, yellow on black). Avoid serif fonts (forget the feet). This program would be best suited for the Middle Level survey courses.
