Sunita is a veteran of two space missions. The children were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch a live presentation from Sunita and then take part in an interview session. A fantastic experience for them all! Year 3 are currently learning about I am Warrior which is history based from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. On Wednesday 17th October we visited Segedunum to learn about Roman Forts. The children all had so much fun and learnt some very interesting facts, which they have been using in their work for Topic. We are encouraging children to share books with their family. Please could your child bring in a small photo of them enjoying reading with an adult? Please ensure it has their name and class on the reverse. The photographs will be displayed on a board by the North Hall and will act as a stimulus to encourage reading both in school and at home. Thank you for your support. Y3 Segedunum Trip Reading at Home Reception Workshop The families of Reception children were invited to join the children for a story session. Children brought in a favourite toy and listened to a story being read by the class teacher. The children then shared favourite stories with their family members. Family members were given information about Read Write Inc, how it works in school and how it can be used at home. This session was very well attended and enjoyed by all involved.
