A TOP-RANKING CHEMICAL ENGINEERING school in France
ENSIC A top-ranking chemical engineering school in france WELCOME TO ENSIC WHO we are WHERE we are ENSIC was founded in 1887 in Nancy, France. It is a top-ranking french engineering school in chemical engineering, member of Federation Gay Lussac (FGL, Federation of 20 French engineering schools in chemistry and chemical engineering). The school hosts two internationally renowned research laboratories. ENSIC is part of the University of Lorraine. Alexi TAUZIN - Fotolia.com Training to be an ENSIC engineer involves studying a wide variety of disciplines ranging from physics, chemistry and mathematics to biotechnology, management and economics. Our graduates develop the skills and knowledge needed to take on the technological challenges faced by the industry in a global economy. Our ambition is to help prepare students for engineering professions where they can fully express their intellectual and human potential. During the 3 years they spend here, we encourage students to develop their initiative and creativity, skills appreciated by our many partners in industry and research. Located in Nancy, in the heart of Lorraine, the school has got a strategic position in Europe. It is situated a few kilometers from Germany, Belgium and Luxemburg and is only one hour from Paris by train. The school is in the historic district of Nancy near the city s biggest park: La Pépinière, and close to all the tourist sites and the city center. Prof. Bernard Vitoux DirectOr By tackling the most challenging of current scientific and management issues such as energy resource management, production process sustainability and environmental protection and safety, ENSIC engineers contribute to improving world class standards and ethics. They form a community whose values of solidarity and authenticity are championed by the alumni association. The international outlook at ENSIC has meant that language teaching and instruction in foreign cultures included in our programs have increased noticeably. An international experience (strongly recommended and favored), the recognition of dual degrees and a cultural mix are proving to be highly motivating for students. INTERNATIONAL INFLUENCE ENSIC has a great reputation abroad. Its engineering master degree is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE, UK). The School has more than 40 partnership agreements with foreign universities and engineering schools. Prof. Lionel CHOPLIN Director International Relations One of our objectives is to welcome up to 40% international students in order to boost the group dynamics and to stimulate both naturally and spontaneously many cultural and social interactions. ENSIC is part of the N+i Network (comprising 70 french engineering schools) and offers dual degrees with German, Canadian, Brazilian and Colombian institutions. ENSIC has trained about 4.000 graduates in activity worldwide.
