GET ONLINE GUIDE Everything You Need to Access Your Account Online SECTION ONE: Getting Started As a new Online Banking user, you ll need two numbers to set up your account for online access your Membership Number and your Social Security Number. 1. Visit ndfcu.org 2. Look for the Online Banking Secure Log-in box on the left 3. Enter your Membership Number for your Username 4. In the Password box, enter the last four digits of the primary account holder s Social Security Number 5. Click the Log-in button After logging in for the first time, you will be asked to update your login information. Due to federal regulations, your Username cannot be your membership or account number. For that reason, your new Username must be at least six (6) characters long, containing numbers, at least one letter, and a special character (for additional security). The same is true for your new Password. The update screen will explain the password requirements, and even let you know the security strength of your chosen password. When you click Next Step, you will be asked to provide two U.S. phone numbers to receive your Online Banking verification code (via phone call or text message). These phone numbers may also be used in the future for verification purposes in the event that you use a computer not registered to your account. While providing two U.S. phone numbers is essential, you will also have the opportunity to verify your identity via e-mail. Whichever method you choose, you will receive a six-digit code that you will need to enter in the designated box in the verification window that appears. When you register a computer, a cookie is saved within your Internet browser for future reference. If, at any time, you happen to clear the cookies from a registered computer, you will be required to enter a verification code and register that computer again. If you are using a secure computer (one you use on a regular basis), you may click Yes. Register this computer. in order to avoid having to verify your information every time you use Online Banking. In any other situation, please be sure to select No. This is a public computer. to keep your account information safe. If you encounter an error of any kind within Online Banking, please check your Browser Compatibility by clicking the text link in the Online Banking Secure Log-in box.
SECTION TWO: Your Home Page Once logged in, you will be greeted by your personal Online Banking Home Page. Just below the Notre Dame FCU logo, you will see a gold horizontal bar containing text-based links to all of the available features and services, including Bill Pay, Transfers, estatements, Credit Cards, and more. A detailed explanation of each link is included in the next section of this guide. In the white space below the navigation bar, there are a number of quick view options. The My Accounts box on the left side of the screen provides a condensed Your Online Banking home page is your portal to the full suite of services and features that we offer, including a convenient calendar and calculator to enhance your Online Banking experience. view of your accounts, mainly showing each account s current and available balances. Also included is a quick link to the Notre Dame FCU transfer page, as well as a link to the Text Message Banking set-up page (see Mobile Options for more information). Below My Accounts, you ll see a compressed view of any Outside Accounts you may have linked to your Online Banking account through FinanceWorks. To the right, you will find the Make a Payment check, giving you easy access to pay a bill (once you have signed up for Online Bill Pay). And finally, the two quick access panels underneath will show you your available cash back shopping offers from Purchase Rewards, in addition to showing you your spending habits in an easy-to-read pie chart, courtesy of Quicken s free FinanceWorks option. SECTION THREE: Navigating through Online Banking My Accounts is your default home page. Anytime you click My Accounts or click on the Notre Dame FCU logo in the top left corner, you will be taken to this page. From here, you have access to information about all of your available accounts, including any current loans. As mentioned above, you also have quick views of your Outside Accounts, Bill Payment, and FinanceWorks. To access a particular account, click on the name of the account (in blue) to view an expanded account summary. The default view is ten (10) days of transactions, but you may change or even customize this using the drop-down menu located under the account name at the top. Alternately, you may view five (5) days of transactions using the Quick Peek link (the magnifying glass icon) next to the account name on the My Accounts page.
Bill Pay will instantly connect you to our time-saving Online Bill Payment and Presentment service. The quick and convenient way to pay your bills online, Bill Pay is safe, secure, and free with Direct Deposit, the edge Checking, or if you have two or more Notre Dame FCU products. It only take a few minutes to establish your Bill Pay account. Once that s complete, you ll be able to set up recurring payments, manage your bills, even search your payment records all from one user-friendly web page. The Setup Assistant within Bill Pay makes it easy to add a payee, whether it s a business or an individual. In fact, Bill Pay will provide you with a pre-filled list of businesses based on your zip code, taking much of the guess work out of the process. Once selected, you will have the option to arrange onetime or recurring payments. Setting up a person as a payee with Bill Pay is easy. Simply enter the person s name, along with his or her address and phone number. Then, when you make a payment, a check will be issued from your account and mailed to the payee. As an alternative, you may set up a person as a payee with his/her financial institution s mailing address and phone number. When making a payment in this fashion, you may add a memo to the check, denoting into which account the receiving bank or credit union should deposit the funds. With the Bill Pay service, you may also set up Expedited Payments, Manage Categories, and View Reports. When clicking the Move Money link, you have three options: Make a Transfer, Schedule a Transfer, and External Transfers. By selecting Make a Transfer, you will be given the opportunity to transfer funds between your Notre Dame FCU accounts. The Schedule a Transfer tool makes moving your money easier and more convenient with the ability to choose your accounts, the amount to be transferred, as well as the frequency of the transfer. The final option, External Transfers allows you to move money from your account(s) at other financial institutions to your Notre Dame FCU account(s) and vice versa. Please note that incoming account transfers are free with the edge Checking, Direct Checking, and Premier Checking, but there is a fee for any outgoing transfers. The Secure Forms link gives you access to a variety of forms designed to meet your financial needs. These forms are located within Online Banking for the secure transfer and protection of your personal information. Update Address/Telephone Form - Complete this form to update your contact information. Bill Pay Cancellation - Complete this form to cancel your Bill Pay service.
Check Request - Complete this form to order copies of past checks. Please note that check copies are $5.00 each. ACH Authorization - Complete this form to arrange and authorize any recurring ACH payments/debits to or from another financial institution. Please allow at least three (3) business days to process your request. ACH Stop Payment - Complete this form to report/stop any unauthorized ACH debits. For debit card or credit card transactions/disputes, please contact our Virtual Branch at (800) 522-6611. Please allow at least three (3) business days to process your request. Outgoing Wire - Complete this form to request an outgoing wire transfer. For same day domestic transfers, the deadline to submit the form is 2:00pm. International wire transfers may take up to 10 days to post, and the foreign bank may assess additional fees. Travel Information - Complete this form to notify us of any upcoming travels to protect your accounts and alert us to transactions possibly occurring outside of your typical spending behavior. When you click on the Additional Services link, you have access to two free services: FinanceWorks is the ultimate online budget tool. Powered by Quicken, FinanceWorks lets you see exactly where your money is going every month. With easy-to-use categorization options, you help FinanceWorks help you. Analyze your spending habits with an ever-evolving, color-coded pie chart, set goals for your money, and even monitor those goals from anywhere with helpful Budget Alerts. My TurboTax is a special service for Online Banking users. File your taxes for free or at discounted rates, depending on the type of form you choose. Plus, you have the added benefit of auto-filling tax forms, which take the necessary information directly from your Online Banking account. The first time you click the estatements link, you will be given the option to sign up for estatements. Once you agree to the Terms and Conditions, you ll discover the many advantages of this paperless service. estatements are a clutter-free, green option. They are safe and secure, and available to you on or around the first of every month. Your estatements are stored on a secondary secure server, so each time you click the link, you will be told that you are being transferred to a trusted partner s site. Click OK to find PDFs of your monthly statements, statement inserts, and quarterly newsletters. Plus, by choosing the Tax Forms or Notices tabs at the top, you may view and print any necessary forms for your taxes or monitor any notices regarding account activity.
The Credit Cards link will also take you to one of our trusted partner s secure websites, where your Notre Dame FCU Visa credit card information is stored. Because your credit card information is protected, you will need to register your card and set up a Username and Password in order to access this service. Once you register and sign-in, you ll find a detailed Account Summary, showing your contact information, current balance, credit limit, as well as past and pending payments. The navigation bar on the left side of the screen provides you with quick links to your transaction history, account information, as well as help and support. The Payments link not only allows you to view your detailed payment history, but also to make an online payment, schedule auto-payments, or print a remittance stub for a mailed payment. If you forget your Username or Password, you may call 800/289-5939 or simply re-register your card. In order to take advantage of our Free Text Message Banking service, you will need to click on the Mobile Options link in the Navigation bar. You will be taken to a page where you may activate Text Message Banking and link it to your cell phone number. Once activated, you will then have the opportunity to set up text message notifications for your accounts. Receive a text when your balance reaches a certain amount, a payment clears, or a Share Certificate of Deposit s maturity date is approaching. You may also set these notifications to be sent to your e-mail address, as well. Our partnership with NetX Client means that you have one-click access to your investment information with My Investments. NetExchange 360 is an innovative and intuitive investor platform available to you 24/7/365. If you have an IRA or Brokerage account held directly with Pershing or Cetera, you will need only your account number to start the registration process with NetExchange 360.* Once you are fully registered and have received your verification e-mail, you will be able to access your portfolio holdings, view your account activity and balances, as well as check on an order status. SECTION FOUR: Customization and Help Options All available customization and help options for Online Banking are text links located in the top right corner of the My Accounts page. When you click on My Profile, a window will open on-screen with three options: ABOUT ME - Your Member Name and Account ID are displayed. SECURITY - Your Username, Password, and Security Contacts are shown here. You may change any of these at any time by clicking on the Change or Update text link next to each item. MY SETTINGS - The three text links under this heading are: Alerts & Notifications - links to Mobile Options (see previous page) User Options - change your e-mail address and opt-out of Online Banking-related e-mails Account Nicknames - change the names of your various accounts within Online Banking By clicking on Help, you will be taken to a page containing general topics presented as text links to answer your common questions regarding the use of Online Banking. Scroll through the topics or use the links below to get to the information you need most. Clicking Support will open a window containing our Virtual Branch telephone number and a link to our Live Chat option. Our Virtual Branch support staff is available to help you during the business hours listed below the Live Chat link. Our Live Chat option is also available even if you are not logged into Online Banking by clicking on Contact Us or by simply waiting for the option to appear after 60 seconds of idle time.
