Hortonville School District Door Control System Phase I Request for Proposal July 5th, 2013 1
Overall Scope Hortonville School District is interested in deploying door locks, cameras, intercoms, and control modules on the main entrance handicap access door at: Greenville Elementary School, W6822 Greenridge Drive Greenville Middle School, N1450 Fawn Ridge Drive Hortonville Elementary School, 240 Warner Street Hortonville Middle School, 220 Warner Street Hortonville High School, 213 Towne Drive Specific Equipment and Services Requested (Per Building Entrance Door) Door Strike hardware that is 24v DC based with the wires running to a network I/O module or relay box near the door. Power to be supplied by an 802.3af Power POE Splitter - 24V. All devices that connect to the door must have dry relay contacts. Camera system with wide angle viewing and relay contacts The camera must be Axis P3367-VE. Cabling will run to the nearest district network data closet. Camera will be mounted outside and must include all appropriate mounting accessories. Interior Request to Exit on door crash bar Intercom system using a CyberData call station The intercom must be the CyberData V3 Outdoor Intercom with weather shroud. Cabling will run to the nearest district network data closet. Configuration of the CyberData intercom with the District Cisco Call Manager is outside the scope of this phase of the project. Network I/O Module - Axis P8221 Network I/O Module will be used to remotely unlock and/or open doors as described below. Note the door can be unlocked and/or opened from multiple systems: 1. Axis Camera relay contacts (unlock and/or open) 2. Interior Request to Exit on door crash bar (unlock only) 3. Interior Request to Exit button on the wall for handicap access (unlock and open) 4. HID door access IP-based controller (for use with future phases of the door control project) Alternative Bid 1: Relay box - Support door controls as listed above: All dry contacts from the above listed systems would be tied in parallel within the relay box with an external switch disconnect. Cat 5e cables wire cabling should be 22 gauge. Cabling will run to the nearest district network data closet. AXIS Network I/O module AXIS Camera CyberData Intercom unit 2
Labor to install and configure all equipment and needed wiring Install Door Strike Install Camera: connect camera relay contacts to allow unlock and/or open door from Network I/O module s webpage (or Axis camera s webpage if using relay box) Install Intercom Install request to exit with dry contract relays to trigger door strike and open exterior door via handicap access button. Install Network I/O Module per the configurations listed below: Note the door can be unlocked and/or opened from multiple systems: 1. Axis Camera relay contacts (unlock and/or open) 2. Interior Request to Exit on door crash bar (unlock only) 3. Interior Request to Exit button on the wall for handicap access (unlock and open) 4. HID door access IP-based controller (for use with future phases of the door control project) Alternative Bid 1: Install Relay box - Support door controls as listed above: All dry contacts from the above listed systems would be tied in parallel within the relay box with an external switch disconnect. Installation, testing, and invoicing must be completed by August 15th, 2013. Maps indicating main door location and data room locations are available upon request. 3

Hortonville Area School District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Hortonville Area School District reserves the right to select the proposal that offers the best overall benefit to the school system. Hortonville Area School District reserves the right to adjust the quantity, select the order date and the delivery date. Hortonville Area School District reserves the right to split the order to meet budget requirements of the district. Price is the primary consideration but not the only consideration. Nothing in this proposal shall obligate the Hortonville Area School District to compensate any vendor for their efforts. Proposals are due Monday, July 15th by 2:00 PM. Please email the proposal to scottcolantonio@hasd.org. A hard copy can be provided in addition to the Electronic Copy, delivered to the High School, Attn: Scott Colantonio. Cable & Installation CAT5e Plenum Cabling should be utilized for network cabling. All other cabling to be by Manufacturer recommendations. The complete installation shall be done in a neat, workmanlike manner in accordance with the applicable requirements of the NFPA 70, National Electrical Code and the Manufacturer s recommendation. All cable should be plenum rated, installed in J Hooks (where concealed) or Wiremold (where exposed). Sealing & Fire Stopping must be done through fire walls. Any patching and/or painting required should be included. Please indicate if and where wiremold will be required. 4
