Winner's Circle Scholarships College-bound Iowa youth active in 4-H and/or FFA livestock and agricultural projects and current undergraduate students may apply for scholarships available from the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA). The scholarships are available to freshmen entering any Iowa two- or four-year post-secondary institution this fall or current undergraduates attending Iowa State University. Applicants must major in animal science or a curriculum in agriculture or human sciences that is related to the agriculture industry. Winners will be announced during the 2015 Iowa State Fair annual 4-H/FFA Sale of Champions on August 22 nd, an event sponsored by IFAA. IFAA scholarship funds come from a percentage of Sale of Champions proceeds, as well as Winner s Circle Club donations. Please apply for the following scholarships using the IFAA Winner s Circle Incoming Freshman Application One $5,000 Branstad-Reynolds Agriculture Scholarship Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 who plans to attend an Iowa community college, college or university and pursue a degree in the field of agriculture. Applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in agriculture after graduation. One $6,000 Iowa Select Farms Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015. The applicant must have a strong agricultural background involving 4-H and/or FFA Swine Projects and a strong emphasis in swine while at college. Preference will be given to applicant who has a strong desire to remain active in the swine production industry after graduation. One $3,000 Alliant Energy Interstate Power & Light Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to an applicant from the Southeast District of Iowa who shows a strong desire to remain active in the livestock industry after graduation. One $3,000 Timmins, Kroll & Jacobsen Scholarship The applicant should have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as livestock projects. The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015. Preference will be given to an applicant from Polk County or the surrounding counties. One $3,000 Tom & Donna Lauterbach Memorial Breeding Heifer Scholarship at Iowa State University, or an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015. Applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA breeding heifer projects and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in beef production following graduation. One $2,500 Cargill Agriculture Scholarship The applicant should have a strong agricultural background involving 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Applicant must plan to major in Agriculture and be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015. The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015. One $2,000 Bart Nelson Memorial Sheep Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and have a strong background in sheep projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicants who show a desire to remain active in the sheep industry after graduation. One $1,500 John and Emily Putney Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015, who has a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA as a livestock exhibitor and has demonstrated leadership abilities while being involved in other activities. One $1,500 Swine Industry Scholarship The applicant should have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as swine projects. The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015. One $1,500 Iowa Purebred Swine Council Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and have a strong background in swine projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicants who show a desire to remain active in the purebred swine industry after graduation. One $1,500 Russ Brannen/KENT FEEDS Memorial Beef Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and have a strong background in beef projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicants who have been active in beef cattle expositions and showmanship contests. One $1,000 Schlutz Family Beef Breeding Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and have a strong background in beef projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicants who show a desire to remain active in the beef cattle industry after graduation. One $1,000 Iowa Cattlemen s Foundation Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA beef projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the beef industry following graduation. One $1,000 Clayton & Colton Novak Memorial Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Applicant must have participated in beef projects and have a strong desire to remain active in the beef industry upon graduation. One $1,000 Iowa Pork Producers Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and have a strong background in swine projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicants who show a desire to remain active in the swine industry after graduation. 2

Pork Industry Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015 and have a strong background in swine projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicant who expresses an interest in working in the pork industry following graduation. The recipient must be a full-time student. One $1,000 Custom Builders Inc. / EPS Buildings Scholarship Applicant should be an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015, or an undergraduate in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. Applicant must have a strong background in livestock and/or equine exhibiting, projects and activities. One $1,000 Plaza RV Scholarship Applicant must currently be an undergraduate in the College of Agriculture and Life Science at Iowa State University or an incoming freshman at either a community college or university level in the fall of 2015. The applicant should be a resident of one of the following 10 counties: Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison Marion, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story or Warren. One $1,000 Dean and Adele Bowden Scholarship Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015. The applicant should have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as livestock projects. One $1,000 Brock Grain Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who has major interest in agronomy. One $1,000 NutraFlo PureGrade Fertiliaer Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who has a major interest in agronomy. One $1,000 Chamness Companies Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Applicant must have a desire to remain active in agriculture. One $1,000 Iowa Poultry Association Scholarship Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015. Applicant must have strong background in poultry area and a desire to remain active in the poultry industry. One $2,000 and Twenty $1,000 4-H, IFAA & HyVee Foundation Scholarships Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and planning to attend Iowa State University with a major in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences or in family and consumer science field of study in College of Human Sciences. Applicant must have been a participant in Iowa State Fair 4-H events/activities. Documentation showing specific involvement in Iowa State Fair 4-H exhibiting, events, or activities should be included in Section VIII on the application form. 3

Available to Incoming Freshman planning to attend an Iowa university or college, including 2-year schools Ten $1,000 FFA & IFAA Foundation Scholarships Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and planning to attend Iowa State University with a major in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences or in family and consumer science field of study in College of Human Sciences. Applicant must have been a participant in Iowa State Fair FFA events/activities. Documentation showing specific involvement in Iowa State Fair 4-H exhibiting, events, or activities should be included on the application form. Use FFA Scholarship Application Form. Two $500 Iowa State Fair FFA Blue and Gold Gilt Sale Scholarship Applicant must have exhibited breeding swine at the Iowa State Fair FFA Swine Show at least once during their FFA membership and in a year prior to applying for the scholarship. Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 in agriculture or agriculture related field at any Iowa university or community college. The applicant must have a strong background in FFA leadership and show a strong desire to remain active in agriculture after graduation. Applicants are eligible to apply every year they meet the requirements; however preference will be given to those who have not received an Iowa State Fair FFA Blue and Gold Gilt Sale Scholarship in the past. One $500 Dick Frye Memorial Scholarship The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2015 and have a strong background in beef and/or swine projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the beef cattle or swine production industry after graduation. One $500 Iowa Meat Goat Association Scholarship Applicant should be an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015, or an undergraduate in Agriculture at any Iowa college or university. Applicant must have a strong background in meat goat production and/or exhibiting, project and activities. One $250 Western Edge Scholarship Applicant should be an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015. Applicant must have a strong background in large animal livestock and be in enrolled in field of agriculture. 4

One $6,250 Bruce Rastetter Scholarship The applicant must currently be a Sophomore or a Junior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant in Animal Science Curriculum. One $6,250 Bruce Rastetter Scholarship The applicant must currently be a Sophomore or a Junior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant interested in Biorenewable Resources. Available to Undergraduates One $5,000 Mark Pearson Entrepreneur Memorial Scholarship The applicant must currently be a Sophomore or Junior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who is involved in the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative and shows a strong desire to remain active in agriculture after graduation. One $5,000 Mark Pearson Memorial Scholarship funded by the Cattlemen s Beef Quarters and Friends of the Beef Industry The applicant must currently be a college Sophomore or Junior majoring in communications or journalism with an emphasis on agriculture. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Two $5,000 Sinclair Tractor Scholarships The applicant must currently be a college Sophomore or Junior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with an emphasis in agronomy. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. One $3,000 Tom Lauterbach Memorial Breeding Heifer Scholarship at Iowa State University or an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015. Applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA breeding heifer projects and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in beef production following graduation. One $2,500 Cargill Agriculture Scholarship at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant should have a strong agricultural background involving 4-H and FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved with activities. One $2,000 Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Scholarship Applicant must currently be a second or third year student in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA projects and a strong emphasis in swine while at ISU. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the livestock industry after graduation. One $2,000 Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement Scholarships at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant Must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who has a strong desire to remain active in the livestock industry after graduation. 2

Available to Undergraduates One $2,000 Christian Brothers (Al, Lauren, Duane & Dean) Swine Industry IFAA Scholarship at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours with emphasis in swine. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who has a strong desire to remain active in the swine industry after graduation. One $1,500 Iowa Purebred Swine Council Scholarship Applicant must currently have 60 or more credit hours in Animal Science or related curriculum at Iowa State University. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA swine projects and a strong emphasis in swine while at ISU. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the purebred swine industry after graduation. One $1,500 Zoetis Swine Scholarship at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA projects and a strong emphasis in swine while at ISU. Preference will be given to applicant who is planning to attend the College of Veterinary Medicine following their four-year degree. One $1,500 Brice Leonard Memorial Sheep Scholarship at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA sheep projects and a strong emphasis in sheep while at ISU. Preference will be given to applicant who is active in Block and Bridle Club and shows desire to remain active in the sheep industry after graduation One $1,000 Iowa John Deere Dealers Scholarship at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as livestock projects. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in agriculture after graduation. One $1,000 Midwest Club Calf Producers Scholarship at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA projects and a strong emphasis in beef while at ISU. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the beef industry after graduation. One $1,000 Iowa Cattlemen s Foundation Scholarship The applicant must currently be an undergraduate in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. Applicant must have have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA beef projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the beef industry following graduation. 3

Available to Undergraduates One $1,000 Story County Cattlemen s Association Scholarship The applicant must currently be an undergraduate in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. Applicant must live in Story County and have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA beef projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the beef industry. One $1,000 Iowa Pork Producers Scholarship Applicant must currently be an undergraduate in Animal Science or related curriculum at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours.. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA swine projects and a strong emphasis in swine while at ISU. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the swine industry after graduation. One $1,000 Custom Builders Inc. / EPS Buildings Scholarship Applicant must be an undergraduate in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University, or an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015. Applicant must have a strong background in livestock and/or equine exhibiting, projects and activities. One $1,000 Theisen Home Farm Auto Scholarship at Iowa State University and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as livestock projects. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in Agriculture after graduation One $1,000 Plaza RV Scholarship at Iowa State University or an incoming freshman at either a community college or university level in the fall of 2015. Available to Undergraduates Two $500 Iowa State Fair FFA Blue and Gold Gilt Sale Scholarship Applicant must have exhibited breeding swine at the Iowa State Fair FFA Swine Show at least once during their FFA membership and in a year prior to applying for the scholarship. One $500 Iowa Meat Goat Association Scholarship Applicant should be an undergraduate in Agriculture at any Iowa community college, college or university, or an incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in the fall of 2015. Applicant must have a strong background in meat goat production and/or exhibiting, project and activities. One $500 Stockman s Inn Scholarship for Agriculture Business Applicant must currently be an undergraduate in the Business College with an emphasis on agriculture at an Iowa university or college and completed a minimum of 45 college credit hours. The applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in agribusiness after graduation. 5
