National Institute of Technology Patna DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING Global Conference on Renewable Energy (GCRE-2015) 19-21 October, 2015 In today s scenario Renewable Energy sector is growing fast across the globe providing more than 6.5 millions of job worldwide. Renewable energy is only way to reduce our dependence on fossil fuel and mitigate the gas emissions. Without renewable vision, sustainable development is not holistic and can not be achieved. Global Conference on Renewable Energy (GCRE-2015) organised by NIT, Patna in collaboration with CESD-Net is a right step in the direction to achieve the set objectives. National Institute of Technology Patna is the 18th National Institute of Technology created by the Ministry of H.R.D. Government of India after rechristening the erstwhile Bihar College of Engineering Patna on 28. 01. 2004. CESD-Net is a major global initiative in energy and sustainable development. The objective of network is to promote energy and sustainable development in commonwealth countries. CESD-Net is striving towards achieving set goals by promoting sustainable generation, utilization, and disposal. In order to achieve the set targets network is working with its key stakeholders in partner countries for promotion of sustainable development. The Conference will provide platform for researchers and specialists across the globe to disseminate and network on the vital research field of Renewable Energy. Conference topics The conference will cover following topic but not limited to; Solar Energy Technologies (Solar thermal and PV) Sustainable building design & Low Impact Architecture Tidal energy Ground thermal storage and Geothermal Energy Fuel Cells Hybrid energy systems Wind energy Heat recovery.
