2-Day Workshop Project JumpStart The Workshop Designed to Launch Projects Faster Traditional Classroom / Onsite Course No. 665 Duration: 2 days Credits: 14 PDUs / 1.4 CEUs Prerequisites Twelve hours of basic project management training or equivalent experience using project management (PM) methodology, aligned with an internationally recognized PM standard (This prerequisite is even more critical than on any of the longer duration versions of this workshop due to the extremely limited time available to review concepts between deliverables. See description below for more details.) Course Level Intermediate About the Program Project JumpStart, a registered trademark of International Institute for Learning, Inc., is a unique training opportunity. Why is it unique? First, it is unique because this workshop is not a conventional training program. Project JumpStart is a two-day version of a flexible suite of hands-on workshops (available in anywhere from 2 to 5 days in duration), during which you and your team members will work on and produce deliverables for either: Real projects selected from your own environment; or A case study based on your organization s actual business environment. Second, it is unique because we provide an electronic package of PM Tools To Go, which can be customized and used in real time to produce project plan deliverables during the workshop. Better still, these tools can travel with you to your next project and the ones after that. Third, it is unique because an experienced IIL project management consultant will not be there to lecture, but rather to guide your team throughout the workshop. You ll learn practical and creative ways to ensure a successful and speedy project launch. You ll discover methods for identifying clear project objectives. You ll apply many ideas and concepts from other project teams participating in the workshop. And you ll develop a new skill set for leading your own team. At the conclusion of Project JumpStart, your team will have a clear understanding of and commitment to a set of project plan deliverables, customized to your projects or project environment. You will also have your very own set of Tools To Go, which will not only support you in JumpStart ing your current project immediately, but in repeating this high level of performance on future projects! Benefits for Your Team Get projects started faster than ever before Tackle more projects with the time you save launching each one Ensure measurably better project outcomes Project JumpStart 2 DAY 1 of 5

Summary of Deliverables In this unique workshop experience, by deliverables, we mean project management plan components that your teams produce, in real time, during the workshop. After the workshop, these deliverables are then ready to be either: Applied to launch your teams real-world projects as defined in the workshop; or Adapted from whatever case study projects you elected to use, for immediate use on each individuals next real-world project experience. In this 2-day version, because it is on the shorter end of the recommended duration range, most of the deliverables are produced at a basic level of rigor. This basic level of deliverables includes minimal content, and, for the 2-day version, each one is completed in an event lasting 5-45 minutes, on average. Modules Deliverables 1 Project Description 2 Project Charter - Basic Stakeholder Assessment - Basic Requirements-based Communication Plan - Basic Requirements Prioritization Matrix - Basic Scope Statement - Basic 4 WBS - Basic 5 Interim Deliverable - Risk Identification - Basic 5 Interim Deliverable - Risk Analysis - Basic 5 Risk Register (add response plans and enter all into Register template) - Basic 6 Resource and Cost Estimates - Basic 6 Duration Estimates - Basic 7 Network Diagram - Basic 7 Project Schedule - Basic Expanded Communications Plan - Basic Personal Relationships Assessment (Social Styles) - Basic Team Charter - Basic 10 Project Evaluation Meeting Plan 10 Lessons Learned Meeting Plan Project JumpStart 2 DAY 4 of 5
