The Accelerating Change & Transformation (ACT) Training is a comprehensive, fourpart program designed to develop strong organizational change practitioners within your organization. It includes a one-day workshop, a license to our Change Accelerator toolkit, applied learning on the job, and follow-on coaching from an expert Emergent change consultant. The program content has been honed through Emergent s work providing training and consulting services to Fortune 500 and mid-market clients. TARGET AUDIENCES This program is for anyone responsible for leading change within the organization. Participants who attend should be currently (or soon to be) involved in a project involving change, as this is important for the Applied Learning component. The program is ideally suited for the following roles: HR Business Partners & Managers OD/OE Professionals Project Team Leaders Communications Professionals
2 TRAINING COMPONENTS One-Day ACT Workshop at Your Location Designed around Emergent s six-phase Accelerating Change & Transformation (ACT) model, this one-day workshop builds participants' organizational change management skills. The interactive training is delivered at your location and includes a comprehensive participant binder with activities and templates. After the workshop, participants will be able to apply the ACT methodology to effectively facilitate change within their projects and teams. They will know how to integrate change management best practices and uncover organizational change opportunities. Training topics include (but are not limited to): - Assessment of personal change agility - The case for organizational change management - A common understanding of change management - Blueprint for building/enhancing a change capability - The ACT model: a structured approach to change - Orientation to Change Accelerator - Core change management skills: structuring change projects - ACT deep-dive: plan the change - ACT deep-dive: create urgency - Core change management skills: change facilitation - ACT deep-dive: lead the change - ACT deep-dive: engage the people - Core change management skills: managing resistance - ACT deep-dive: align systems - ACT deep-dive: sustain the change - Insights and lessons learned - Post-training action planning
3 Comprehensive Change Management Toolkit Training participants receive a license to Change Accelerator, our comprehensive web-based change management toolkit ( The toolkit comes with 60+ downloadable tools and templates aligned to the ACT methodology, implementation checklists, and best practices for facilitating change. The Change Accelerator resources can be accessed 24/7 and the tools tailored to the participant s unique project needs. Change Accelerator access is provided to participants either an individual 12-month license or as an unlimited enterprise license to the entire organization. Learn more here: Applied Learning & Follow-up Coaching After the one-day workshop, participants will apply learnings and use the ACT methodology and Change Accelerator tools on live projects back at their organizations. Participants will schedule a few virtual coaching sessions with one of Emergent s change management consultants. During these coaching sessions, the consultant will assess how well practices are being applied, help the participant with challenge areas, and advise on how best to tailor organizational change practices and tools to the participant s specific change initiative.
4 BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM Upon completion of the training program, participants will benefit in the following ways: Increased confidence leading change Immediately-applied tools and techniques Positive impact on project success Improved stakeholder adoption Accelerated skill development ADDITIONAL DETAILS Prerequisites Participants who attend should be currently (or soon to be) involved in a project involving change, as this is important for the Applied Learning component. We recommend between 6-20 participants per classroom workshop. Workshop planning Ideally, someone from your organization would be available to consult with our trainer prior to the workshop to help our trainer tailor the content. We would rely on someone from your organization to provide logistical support (e.g., meeting room, projector, easels, markers, etc.) Workshop execution The workshop is delivered onsite at your company s location. Ideally, an analyst from your organization would participate in the workshop to help provide on-the-ground logistical support and capture output, action items, etc.
