INTERNATIONAL SUMMER LANGUAGE SCHOOL (ISLS) One of the University s major international events is the three-week Summer Language School which has been held every July since 1990. This event is attended by 600 700 participants not only from the Czech Republic but from virtually every corner of the world. In a truly international setting, it offers informal language courses in: Czech for foreigners, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish at beginner to advanced levels. Besides general language courses, there are specialized courses, e.g. TEFL course, a Legal English course or courses for children.
