February 2013: Submitted a proposal to AUF for the establishment of a Digital Campus at Kenyatta University. 2012: Oversaw the development of the Bachelor of Arts in Japanese programme approved by Senate in February 2013. 2013: Initiated and oversaw the development of the French for Beginners Course approved by Senate in February 2013. 2014: Played an active role in the establishment of the Korean Language Institute at Kenyatta University Development of the PhD in French with coursework is on course as well as work on partnerships with University of Pau, France, University of Lyon 2, France to boost this and other programmes when they are launched. 15.0 OTHERS 15.1 Appointments (i) National: 2005 to date: Appointed adjudicator for French at the National Drama Festival 2008 to 2013: Appointed Member of Steering Committee for the France/Kenya Cooperation FSP project. (ii) Regional: 2012: Appointed member of the Regional Committee of Experts of the AUF, Indian Ocean Region 15.2 Contribution to University Advancement: Successful application for Kenyatta University membership to the AUF, an international body in 2010. Successful organization of conferences/seminars/workshops at KU (as listed above). Successful organization of annual Language Days with the support of the French Embassy, the Canadian High Commission, Alliance Française of Nairobi, Goethe Institute, DAAD, the Japan Foundation and the Brazilian Embassy. Successful participation in negotiating for sponsorship of Masters programme at KU. Sixteen MA students have so far been given partial scholarships (between 2009 and 2013).
