CCC 2015 App Frequently Asked Questions The CCC 2015 App is a comprehensive guide to the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress meeting. It includes access to the schedule, session content, speaker/presenter list, event supporters and exhibitors, as well as hotel and facility maps, Wi-Fi information, social media links and tons of other useful information. This app will save you time with custom schedules, note capabilities and search options. Getting Started with the App Q: How do I locate and download the CCC 2015 App? ios: 1. On your ios device, open the App Store. 2. Search for CCC 2015. 3. Select GET to begin downloading the App to your ios device. Be sure to have data or wi-fi in order to download. 4. Enter your apple ID and password as requested to begin the download. 5. Once the download is complete, select OPEN from the App Store or navigate directly to App icon that is now saved on your ios device. 6. Select the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress 2015 event from the available listings in order to download the event data. Be sure to do this before going offline. ANDROID: 1. On your android device, open the Google Play Store. 2. Search for CCC 2015. 3. Select the CCC 2015 CrowdCompass by Cvent app. 4. Click Install. 5. Click Accept for app permissions. 6. Once the download is complete, select Open from the Play Store screen or navigate directly to the App icon that is now saved on your Android device. 7. Select the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress 2015 event from the available listings in order to download the event data. Be sure to do this before going offline. BLACKBERRY: BlackBerry users can access the web-version of the app by inputting the following link into the web browser: https://event.crowdcompass.com/ccc2015 NOTE: All general information regarding the schedule will be freely available for all delegates to view without log-in information. itunes store Event Directory 1

Q: How do I force my app to update? If you believe your App is not updating, please try the following steps: 1. Return to the event guide home screen of icons, look for the spinning wheel at the top, and wait for it to finish spinning before navigating back to the anticipated change. 2. Return to the main event directory and then go back into the event. 3. Force close out of the event directory (How to force the close of an app depends on the device). 4. Turn your data on and off. 5. Let support@crowdcompass.com know that you are not seeing changes. Q: How do I download the CCC 2015 Content? Click on the CCC 2015 App, select Canadian Cardiovascular Congress from the event directory to start the download of content for the app. A green bar will appear to show the status of the download. To complete this download you will require a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. This may take several minutes, Wi-Fi recommended. Q: Do I need to create a CrowdCompass account? No, it is not a requirement to create a CrowdCompass account upon login. If no account is created, you still have the ability to explore the app and its contents, however some app functions will be limited. We recommend creating an account, as you will have additional functionality capabilities to (1) add bookmarks to sessions, speakers and exhibitors, (2) set reminders within the My Schedule section, (3) add sessions to your personal schedule (4) save notes, (5) access your personal schedule across devices and the web-based platform, and 6) message attendees and book meetings with other delegates through the Attendee List. Tip! Create and activate your account before going offline so all bookmarks and schedules will be saved when you reconnect and be available across all devices. Q: How do I sign up for a CrowdCompass account? Create your account and modify youraccount details to display and share informationwithin the app and in the Attendee List. If you prefer to keep your details secure, set your profile to Private in your Profile Settings.. 1. Click on the menu button in the top left corner of the screen to open the Event Menu guide.click on the link Log In. 2. You will be prompted to Log In with a service that you already use (Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, or Google+) OR you can select to sign up for a CrowdCompass account. 3. If you choose to create a CrowdCompass account, complete the specified fields and register your account. You will then receive an email from CrowdCompass to the email address specified. The email will read "Mobile app access for Canadian Cardiovascular Congress. Open the email and click the link to Create your account. Since you will be opening this link from your email, it will already associate it with your account information. You will only need to provide a Display Name (generally we suggest using your First & Last Name) and a password. Once you are done filling out the form, click Confirm. 2

Event Guide Icons Schedule: This icon allows you access to all of the activities at CCC 2015 (Saturday October 24-Tuesday October 27), all sessions and meetings. There are various ways to filter this information, for example; 1. By Day - Full day, AM/PM 2. By Track May not include all Affiliate meetings or sessions please see Specialty Meetings for a more comprehensive view pertaining to your group. 3. By Session Type Search for a particular session type here (i.e. plenary, oral, workshop, poster). 4. By Speaker - You can tap on the speaker s name to see the list of sessions the speaker is presenting in. To see speaker bios, search a speaker name or scroll down in a session. 5. By Bookmarked Activities - This will list any activities, speakers or exhibitors that you have bookmarked. To bookmark items you must create a Log In. Click on the to bookmark. Community Forum: View a list of all Exhibitors at CCC 2015 by name or by sponsorship level. Click on Activities to view the activities happening in the Community Forum each day. Specialty Meetings: Find Educational Partner session information and business meetings in one location. App Sponsor: Find out more information about the App Sponsor. Information: Lists all information about CCC 2015, app "How To's, and Maps. Maps: View different maps for the event. There are two types of maps: 1. A Toronto City Map (contains a Geo Map and will require internet access), 2. Floor maps of the facilities hosting CCC sessions. If you tap on the drop pin on the menu bar red dots will appear in all of the rooms. Click on the red dot and you see all of the sessions taking place in that location. You can also view the map from the session description page by tapping the location name or clicking on the drop pin icon. 3

Search: Search for anything within the app including sessions, speakers, topics etc. You will be able to find what you are looking for by tapping on the list item to see the detail description, or find out when and where something is happening. #CCCTO: Log-in to your Twitter account to participate in the hashtag thread for the meeting. Attendee List: Join the Attendee List. Attendees are able to share contact information, message other Attendees, and access restricted content. My Items Descriptions Activity Feed: This feed will show all posts for this event as well as event notifications. You can also see posts from your contacts, sessions you ve rated, bookmarked, shared, or added to your schedule in the My Feed tab. Get the conversation started by posting in the Activity Feed. My Schedule: Your personalized schedule. My Messages: Get started sending messages. Go to the Attendee List, find a person, and select the messaging icon on their profile page. To receive messages, be sure to log in and join the Attendee List. My Contacts: Share contact information using the Attendee List. A list of your contacts will be found here. My Notes: Take notes during the conference and review them here. Personal Schedules Q: How do I access my personalized schedule? Upon opening the App, tap on the Event Guide Menu and then select the My Schedule icon. If you are not logged into the app and have not yet added sessions to your schedule, the schedule will appear blank. Q: How do I add sessions to my personalized schedule? When you locate a session that you would like to add to your schedule, click on the Add to Schedule button. If you have not yet created a CrowdCompass account the app will prompt you to create an account and you must do so to be able to utilise this function. 4

You do not need to receive up-to-date push notifications, however they provide useful information on sessions throughout your CCC experience. If you wish to see notifications without getting them pushed to your device, you will be able to see them on the Event Guide Menu, under Event Compass, on the Notifications tab. See below on how to Opt out. Q: I opted out of push notifications when I downloaded the app, but I have changed my mind. How do I opt back in? ios: Go to your settings application and tap notifications. You will see two different categories, one for apps with which you get push notifications (in Notification Center), and those that you do not get push notifications (Not in Notification Center). Tap on the app. Tap the alert style you prefer. Make sure to change your Notification Center setting from OFF to ON. ANDROID: The Android platform does not have an easy fix for this issue. They require an uninstall and a reinstall of the app in order to change this setting. Doing this will not affect the application password but you may need to re-enter your password and login. Your schedule, bookmark notes will also be available once you log in. 5

Q: I opted in the push notifications when I downloaded the app, but I have changed my mind. How do I opt out? ios: Go to your settings application and tap notifications. You will see two different categories, one for apps with which you get push notifications (in Notification Center), and those that you do not get push notifications (Not in Notification Center). Q: My colleagues are receiving pop up push notifications, but I m not. What s going on? If you are on an iphone, Android, or ipad, you will have to change your push notification settings to allow push notifications for that event. Android users may have to reinstall. Devices using the web version will not receive push notifications, such as Windows Phones and BlackBerries. Technical / App Support Q: Which browser should I use? The App works best on Chrome and Firefox browsers. If you are using Internet Explorer, it is best to access the event in 'Private Browsing' mode. Q: How do I contact CrowdCompass Technical Support?
