SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM So you ve received your brand new Verifone Cloud POS system and are eager to start using it. This guide will show you how to set it up in just a few easy steps. Plug the end labeled CASH DRAWER into the cash drawer. SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM 2
Next, we ll set up the printer. Three cables attach to the back of the printer: the power cord, a USB cable and the other end of the cash drawer cable. Once you ve attached them to their allotted ports, plug the power cord into an electrical socket. The POS is almost ready to go. Plug in the wall chargers, then plug the micro USB cable into the bottom of the tablet. Tilt the tablet toward you and plug the printer s USB cable into one of the three USB ports on the side of the POS stand. SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM 3
Double check that all the cables are firmly in place, then power up the POS by holding down the power button on the back of the tablet for five seconds. If you selected our 4G LTE option, you are already connected to the Internet. If you opted for Wi-Fi only, you must connect the POS to your network. Tap on the time in the lower right-hand corner to open the settings menu, then tap anywhere on the upper half of the menu to expand it. SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM 4
In the expanded menu, select Wi-Fi. In Settings, under Wireless & Networks, turn Wi-Fi on using the toggle switch. Next, select your Wi-Fi network and enter the network password if required. SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM 5

CONNECTING THE VX 805 Now that your tablet is powered on, you must connect the VX 805 to the local network. First, plug the VX 805 s power cord into the dongle. Next, connect a standard CAT5 Ethernet cable from your router to the Ethernet port (marked ETH) on the VX 805 dongle. On the Cfg. Net Settings screen, press the F1 button to select DHCP for the network type. Write down the IP address displayed on the device. It will be shown as a series of four numbers such as 192.168.0.100. Be careful to write this number down exactly as it will be needed later in setup. If you miss this screen during setup, you will need to reboot the device. SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM 8
The VX 805 is not quite ready to use. We must now configure the device on the tablet. For this step, it is imperative that the tablet and VX 805 are on the same local network. Tap on the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, then tap the Settings button. You will be prompted to enter your four-digit pin, which you first created when you set up your system. When the tablet has located the VX 805, it will display the device s IP address. A lock icon next to the address means that the VX device is already connected to a Verifone Cloud POS tablet. Tap on the IP address for the VX 805 to which you d like to connect. The tablet will display a code for pairing the device with the tablet. SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM 11
Enter the code on the VX 805. If the terminal was connected to another Verifone Cloud POS tablet, it will disconnect from it and register itself to the new one. Once the code has been entered, the VX 805 will be ready to process transactions. ANY QUESTIONS? Feel free to give us a call at 888-867-7732 or email us at support.cloudpos@verifone.com.
