1 Introduction This document contains specifications and recommendations on creating the digital ad assets, below called creatives. Videoplaza has simplified the workflow for creating video assets, by introducing the Asset factory which automatically generates video files for all devices and platforms you want to target, from a single source file. You only need to upload this source file in order to get everything working. The ad formats described in this document are: Pre-, Mid- and Post- roll Overlays Companion banners Takeover Ad Selector Partner ad formats with examples from InSkin, Brainient and Innovid. 2 The Videoplaza Format Family VP Standard Formats Linear Non- linear External Spot ads (Pre-, Mid- and Post- rolls) - Companion banner VP Premium Formats VP Takeover, VP Ad Selector Overlays Format Partners VP Custom Formats 2.1 VP Standard Formats Examples: Innovid, InSkin and Brainient Built to client specification The Videoplaza Format Family Our VP Standard Formats are pre-, mid-, post- rolls and overlays in different variations. These can be static or contain interactive elements. They can be booked as sponsor bumpers and with combined display elements like companion banners outside the video player. These formats are the obvious choice for long form content and are available on all devices. 2.2 VP Premium Offering true interactivity, engagement and impact, VP Premium Formats empower your sales team to bring something extra to the table. Used in the right way, these formats will generate higher yield and differentiate you from your competition. The VP Takeover is highly impactful a traditional linear ad, which takes the standard pre- roll or mid- roll and raises the impact by taking over the full screen when the ad is showing. Carefully capped, this format drives engagement and gives the advertiser a premium position. The VP Ad Selector delivers great user experience giving a user the option to select which advert they want to watch. Users select from between 2-6 ads from different campaigns. This format enables increased brand recall and generates real user choice and engagement. 2.3 Format partners In addition to offering our own formats, we work with best in breed format partners, including Innovid, InSkin and Brainient. Our native VPAID support keeps the doors open should you want to work with a 3rd party. The Videoplaza platform is compliant with the leading video advertising industry standards VAST and VPAID, ensuring we can deliver interoperability between different ad serving technologies and video players. 2.4 VP Custom formats Innovating around new formats is challenging this requires significant technical work, QA, and education. The Videoplaza platform with its flexible Ad Player architecture can dynamically deliver new formats without impacting your development team or your high priority internal projects. 3 Spot ads: Pre- rolls, Mid- rolls and Post- rolls Spots can be Standard or Interactive. The standard format only supports click through to an URL. Interactive spot ads offer more functionality adopted for the Interactive TV; a roll- up reminder bar is displayed after the ad has ended, and video starts playing. The viewer can click on the bar to bring back either the same advertising message or a new, follow- up message. If there are multiple interactive ads in an ad break the user may flip between the reminder bars to engage any interactive spot ad. It is visible for a few seconds and then slides up in the video player header, where the user may reach it by hovering the mouse pointer. Reminder bars are currently only supported in Flash based video players. Reminder bar Specification Flash banner (.swf) Required dimensions: 505x40 px Maximum weight: 50 Kb 3.2 Follow up video For interactive spot ads, you may supply a different follow up video message that will show when the viewer clicks on the reminder bar. The Video file you use should follow the recommendations in the Video source file section. Follow up video messages are currently only supported in Flash based video players 5

4 Video file specifications If Videoplaza has activated the Asset factory functionality for your account, you can upload almost any video file to Videoplaza and we will use it to generate new video assets that work on any device you wish to target. You should try to upload a high- resolution file with no or little compression, as the quality of the generated assets is depending on the quality of the file you upload. Recommended Audio Audio should be encoded at volume less than or equal to - 12db. Recommended Aspect ratio Aspect ratio is the width of the video player compared to its height, and reflects the size of the screen playing the video. Screens exist in all sizes so check the size of the video player that will play the ad. If you don t have access to that information, the best approach is to conform to the international standards 4:3 (standard TV format) and 16:9 (wide screen). If the aspect ratio of the ad does not match the video player, Videoplaza will letterbox the video ad (i.e. not stretch or crop it) to fit the video player. 5 Companion banners A companion banner is a traditional display banner that can have any size you would like and is displayed as a companion to any in- stream ad. You typically use a companion banner to assist a pre- roll. The pre- roll is played before the clip and simultaneously launches the banner in your predefined area. After the pre- roll your video clip starts playing but the banner remains throughout the duration of the clip. Or you may launch a new companion banner for any new in- stream ad. Companion banner displayed to the right of the video element. When using companion banners you must specify an area on your website (<DIV>) to host the banner, just like you would do with any display banner. Videoplaza Creative Specification th 12 of March 2012 6 Overlays The overlay ad format displays a banner in the video player footer, while the video clip is playing. Overlay banners are scheduled to appear regularly, e.g. every 10 minutes. The banners are also visible for a configurable duration that is set in the Videoplaza Platform. The Overlay comes in a Standard and Interactive format. The standard overlay only support click through to a Clickthrough URL, where the interactive overlay support a wider selection of click events: Video trigger a video just like a Standard spot ad. Splash ad show graphical banner covering the video player. Also supports a click through URL. Slideshow launch a mini slideshow of uploaded jpeg images in the video player, for the user to browse. Overlay ad displayed at the bottom of the video area during content playback. Videoplaza will insert controls in the top right corner of the banner so to secure best end user experience, keep the top right corner of the banner free from extruding elements. Videoplaza Creative Specification th 12 of March 2012 7 Partner Ad formats The Videoplaza platform is built to serve ads from any source, such as Ad networks, that follow the international standards for Video Ads VAST and VPAID. The standards basically include a formatted URL to a VAST compliant source, which the Video player will download and play. 7.1 InSkin InSkin is an interactive ad format that wraps around video and games. The InSkin ad is displayed after any pre- rolls have been shown and the video content start. The InSkin remains wrapped around the player throughout the duration of the clip to ensure maximum brand recognition. An InSkin ad is wrapped around the content throughout the duration of the clip. A second step of the InSkin ad is trigger when the wrap area is clicked. The second step of the ad could either: Take the viewer to the destination page of the advertiser. Present an in- page advertiser mini site that is loads from inskins servers. 9

Specification The InSkin ad creative is built by InSkin Media Client approves flat designs in PSD file along with required graphical assets. 7.2 Brainient Brainient mainly have two products. The first one is BrainAds, which is a personalized video retargeting platform able to serve individual ads to people who visited the advertisers site before. The second one is BrainRolls, simply interactive pre- rolls with tons of engaging features. Movie promo video with additional trailer, photo gallery, social media integration and more. 7.3 Innovid Innovid s flagship is the iroll, which is essentially a pre- roll that introduces interactive elements i.e. clickable areas on the ad which can take users through to specific promotions, interactive presentations, other ads etc. Innovid also offer a range of iroll apps, which make the iroll fully social by utilizing: Twitter follow, YouTube sharing, coupon downloads, store locator, ticket purchase and many other features, all with the click of a button. iroll in action.
