Partnership Purpose Montgomery College (MC) is the primary postsecondary destination of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) graduates Of the MCPS graduates who stay in Maryland for college, 30% attend MC within the first academic year On average 41% of MCPS graduates attending MC within the first year after graduation need at least one developmental course; 67% in math Yvonne

High School ACCUPLACER Program (HSAP) Overview ACCUPLACER Diagnostic (MCPS Test) Intervention: ACCUPLACER/ MyFoundationsLab ACCUPLACER (MC Test) Primarily graduating seniors Administered through home high schools Program support provided through central services at MCPS and MC Mike

Structure of Support Services HSAP centralized within school system and college administrative offices MC support: Office of Academic Initiatives, Dual Enrollment Programs MCPS support: Department of Enriched and Innovative Programs, in the office of Career and Postsecondary Partnerships Yvonne

Structure of Support Services Program currently exists in 19 comprehensive high schools, expanding to all 25 high schools in 2014-2015 school year Schools assigned as individual testing sites within ACCUPLACER website with administrative management from central administration Local school administration provided by local school administrator, generally overseen by an Assistant Principal Testing dates and student identification administered at school level to accommodate local programs, computer lab and class scheduling, and school event calendars Testing administered by teachers and other personnel assigned as proctors Mike

Support Provided to Schools MCPS Support Centralized support Local school testing administrators trained once per semester jointly by MCPS and MC personnel Training and support materials include: Program structure overview Program manual ACCUPLACER test site overview Testing scripts for Diagnostic ACCUPLACER and ACCUPLACER test Score interpretation in line with postsecondary partner Test setup database (manages student testing scheduling, room assignment, proctor assignment, test rosters, test ticket/voucher creation, and student data upload to test site) Mike
