Who we are marketing@largo.com The main objective of the Communications & Marketing Program is to raise awareness of city services and programs to residents, businesses and visitors of the community. We work to create and maintain a positive City image, including, but not limited to, monitoring the usage of all identifying marks, logos and seals. Communications & Marketing assists Department representatives to create consistent and professional internal and external communications including print and digital mediums and serves as the main point of contact for all media and public relations. Support will be provided to City Departments in order to increase cost recovery and participation of the business community in city-wide events and programs. Communications & Marketing is also responsible for the administration of the City's website (Largo.com) as well as Largo Television (LTV). LTV airs the City Commission and Board Meetings as well as producing programming and videos that highlight services and programs within Largo and the extended community. Our objective The Communications & Marketing Program will make an outreach to City Departments informing them of the services provided in order to enhance individual efforts which reach out to the community, businesses, visitors and media outlets. Communications & Marketing will create procedures including a training program for content providers of Largo.com in order to enhance the City's website and increase its importance as a primary source of information and news for the City of Largo. Support will be provided to City Departments in order to increase cost recovery and participation of the business community in city events and programs. Communications & Marketing will also create guidelines and provide recommendations in regards to the City's image and use of logos and markings that identify the City as an organization and community of respect and quality. Logos are provided as PDFs and vector based files. For other requests, contact your department s Marketing Specialist. Identity Standards The City of Largo Seal and other logos are trusted symbols used for identification. It is critical that indentity standards be followed in a consistent manner to protect, maintain and enhance our city image and reputation. The Identity Standards Manual can be found on the city system under City Information and Info for GO. Grammar Guide The Grammar Guide answers questions about grammar formatting and rules as they should be applied, and/or as we wish to apply them within the City of Largo. This guide will allow those creating promotional or communication pieces, to be consistent across all of the work produced and can be found on the city system under City Information and Info for GO. Timelines/Project planning Please note: These are production times only. Allow for time to properly distribute or advertise your program. When projecting your marketing needs, allow a minimum of two months for all event marketing and a minimum of one month for other marketing requests. Expedited services are available per Department Director s request. Specifically, LTV programs and services include: Live City Commission Meetings Live City Commission Work Sessions Live Code Enforcement Board Meetings Live Planning Board Meetings Event videos that capture the highlights of Largo events and are delivered primarily to a web audience through YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Largo.com Public Service Announcements or commercials that advertise events Special video projects designed to educate viewers about specific topics or features Largo vnews features interviews with city staff and on occasion other guests promoting events, programs and services In Focus features interviews with elected officials, leadership staff and local business leaders. Topics include meeting local leaders, discussion of the local economy and information about the budget process Largo Outdoors which takes produced material from various agricultural and environmental sources and puts them together into one program designed for lovers of the outdoors LTV can also loan out video cameras on a limited basis, to departments that wish to video record special events or programs.
