VIRTUAL OFFICE REMOTE INSTALLATION GUIDE 1. Go to http://helpdesk.upicsolutions.org/2xinstall.msi It will ask if you want to run or save the file (see image below) Click Save 2. Choose a default directory probably My Documents or My Desktop Click Save 3
3. When the download is finished, it will come up with the following message: Click Open Folder 4. Locate and Double-Click the 2XInstall.msi file. (shown below) 4
5. The following Security Warning window will pop up (this is normal). Click Run. The 2X install will start. 6. The 2X installation screen will now appear. Click Next 5
7. Check the box to accept the terms, then Click Next 8. Click Next 6
9. Click Install 10. You ll receive this screen (below) while 2X is being configured. Once the configuration is complete, Click Next. 7
11. Now the installation has completed, Click Finish to launch 2X. 12. When 2X launches the first time, you will get the following message: Check Do Not Ask Me Again, and then Click Yes. 2X will open. 8
13. Double-click VirtualOffice01.UpicSolutions.org to connect 14. To login, Enter your Upic Virtual Office Login Information. 9
15. To launch Virtual Office, simply Click Upic Virtual Office (as highlighted). ***If you d like a shortcut to Virtual Office on your desktop, you can Right-Click the Upic Virtual Office icon and choose Create Shortcut *** 10

If you receive an error message when trying to log into Virtual Office after your installation, here is what to do: The most common problem is that you are running Windows XP and do not have the Windows XP Service Pack 2 update. Please run Windows Updates on your system and ensure Windows Service Pack 2 is installed. The second most common problem is, after Windows Service Pack 2 is installed, one of the updates in the service pack does not install correctly. Please go here, download the file using the download button to your desktop, then install by double clicking the file, WindowsXP-KB952155-x86-ENU.exe. Now you will have 2X on your home or office computer and you will no longer have to go to the Upic Solutions website to access Virtual Office. 11
UNIVERSAL PRINTER CONFIGURATION INSTURCTIONS 1. Double click on your 2X icon. Within the 2X main screen, Click the Tools Menu and Click Options. 2. On the 2X Universal Printing tab under the Printer Devices section, you have the options to select from the Redirect Printers drop down box. Please note that at this time not all options are supported. All (Currently not supported) Default only (Supported and Recommended) Specific only (Only one printer select is supported) None (Will prevent printing to the 2X Universal Printer, this option should not be used). 12
If Specific only is selected you will need to make sure to select an actual printer as shown in the following screen shot. REMINDER: only one printer selected is support at this time. 3. Once finished click OK. 4. Now when printing inside Virtual Office, select the 2X Universal Printer when printing. 13
5. When printing to the 2X Universal Printer you are only able to print to one printer at a time. It is recommended that you have Default only selected for the redirected printer as described in step 2. This will allow you to easily change your local default printer and print to multiple printers. 6. You may receive a message stating the 2X Universal Printer on this server is configured in legacy mode if so you can check the check box at the bottom left hand that says Do not show again. 14
CHANGING DEFAULT PRINTERS ON LOCAL SYSTEM If you require printing to multiple printers and have the Default only option selected in your 2X Universal Printing options you are able to select different printers while still logged into Virtual Office. In order to change your default printer please use the following steps: 1. Minimize Virtual Office. This will be done by locating the top bar and then selecting the minimize button. 2. Select Start and then Devices and Printers or Printers and Faxes. This option changes based on using Windows XP and Windows 7. If this option is not located on your Start Menu it can also be accessed from the Control Panel. 3. With the Printers window open you should now see the various printers and devices installed on your local system. To select a new default printer right click on a printer and then select Set as default. Once this is done you will see a green check mark move to the printer just selected. 15
