Entry Requirements To successfully complete this qualification, you must have at least a functional level of English suited to the workplace (reading, writing, understanding and speaking). Because of this, you do not need to be currently employed in a project management role to be able to complete this qualification, although it is usually advantageous to your progress if you are able to draw on work experience as you study. Bayley s Diploma of Project Management is endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). This qualification meets entry requirements for Membership of the AIPM. Course Delivery Methods We offer two options for you to obtain your Diploma of Project Management: Face to face classroom training Recognition of Prior Learning Face to Face The course duration is 10 days, 8 days of training (usually delivered in 2 and 3 day blocks) and 2 days of assessment. You will learn by a combination of instructor led presentation, reading key materials, group discussion, individual assessment tasks, group assessment tasks and other learning activities. Most people who have the recommended work background are able to complete the work in the time allocated in class, minimising the need for homework. People without the recommended work background usually find that they need to allocate time to preparation, revision and consolidation. This will vary from person to person, but could require up to 40 hours of additional private study for some people. The last 2 days of the course are an assessment workshop. All assessment requirements are self-contained and can be completed during the assessment workshop. We usually offer this course at least twice a year, and dates for upcoming courses can be found on our web site. Minimum class size for a course to run is 6 participants. Maximum class size is 15 participants. The presenter was very knowledgeable and adapted to students needs. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) You may have acquired some or all of the competencies that make up this qualification through work experience, life experience or other training that you have completed. If this is the case, you may be eligible for RPL. This means you may not need to attend training in those units where you are able to demonstrate that you are already competent. At Bayley, we have developed a welldeveloped, flexible RPL process that saves experienced people time, frustration and money.
