Fleet Manager Quick Guide (Non Maintenance Mode) Launch Fleet Manager: Open the Fleet Manager Application by: 1. Double clicking the icon located on the desktop - or 2. Via Start > Programs > MobileView Menu Toolbar: For ease of operation the user interface has a toolbar along the top of the Fleet Manager window allowing access to perform all major functions in the software. The buttons available are displayed below: Connect: The Connection Manager lets you connect to local and remote garage servers. If you had multiple garages/locations you would need to select which garage you want to access. Your depot name should already be set up for you in the drop down. You can also connect to the garage depots using an IP Address. You will need to connect to the garage/depot before you can see any of the vehicle data and information for that garage. To connect to a garage: 1. Click the Connect button on the tool bar 2. In the Depot Connection dialog box, enter the garage server IP address or name, and then click Connect. 1
Config: The Config button from the Toolbar allows you to change specific parameters in the Fleet Manager system. Refresh Settings: Manual: Manually refreshes the Vehicle Management display with current information that is stored on the garage server. Click the refresh button when required. Auto: This is the default setting 10 seconds. Automatically refreshes Vehicle Management display. Last online filter colors: You may also change the on-line filter classifications from the defaults. Maximum list entries: Displays the maximum list entries of Vehicle Management. The default is 100. It may need to be adjusted if the garage you are connecting too has more than 100 wireless vehicles. In our example 500 is entered. Alert Voltage below: The corresponding volts cell on the Vehicle Management tab turns pink if the voltage is below the threshold and the vehicle is online. Alert temperature above: The corresponding temp cell on the Vehicle Management tab turns pink if the voltage is below the threshold and the vehicle is online. Alert shutdown time: The shutdown time cell on the Vehicle Management tab turns pink if the shutdown time is above the threshold and the vehicle is online. Camera Check: Configuration The Fleet Management System can help you monitor the performance of fleet cameras. Upon software installation the Camera Check feature was set up to check for a new reference image once a day. Typical settings: 1 camera check per day performed between 12:00:00 AM to 11:59:00 PM. 3
Vehicle Management Tab Default display once connected to Fleet Manager. Recommended view in System Engineering Mode Display > System Engineering Mode Once connecting to the garage the Vehicle Management Tab will display the bus information. DVR: Indicates the number of days since the DVR s last contact with the garage. Cam: Indicates the number of days since the last camera check was performed. Cam Status: Displays either a Yes or a No value. The system is looking to check if the number of configured cameras matches the number expected as configured in the MobileView Software (configuration). For example, if MobileView is set up to expect 6 cameras and there are only 5 present, it will show as "NO. If the number expected is 6 and there are 6 present a YES would be displayed. If a No value is displayed, most likely the red/green lights will be ON the Tag Switch located inside the vehicle. HDD (2012 version and above): Displays status/health of the hard drive. If DVR does not check in the default state displays Fault. 4
Vehicle Shortcut Menu Additional Vehicle Management commands are available on a shortcut menu. To open the short cut menu right click on any vehicle. Helpful to know: Send notification when online: When the vehicle returns to the garage and connects to the depot server. Send vehicle status report: Sends a vehicle status report to the specified email address. Information includes the most recent image stored. Export selected vehicles to CSV File: Exports data from the selected vehicle (s) to a file in CSV format (use select all to select all or hold down Shift key and select rows desired). The CVS file can then be opened in Microsoft Excel and emailed. Force Camera Checks: Forces a camera check on selected vehicle. Vehicle should be on-line (DVR column dark green). 5
DVR Information: Camera Checks: For camera checks to work an Automatic Download needs to be entered for each vehicle. If you are missing vehicle information from the Vehicle Management make sure an Auto Download Event is configured. 6
Job Request & Transfer Management Displays the status of existing video and data requests. You can also use the maintenance pane to: Set up Automatic Download of Vehicle Event and Alarm Data Request Video Footage Delete Selected Jobs The footage will be downloaded as soon as the vehicle returns to the depot and comes within range of the wireless network. CCTV Requests To request manual video footage: 1. Click Enter a CCTV request. Or select Add CCTV booking from short cut menu. The User Data Request Form opens. 2. Enter the required information. 3. Click Add job. Setting Information required Vehicle ID Enter the vehicle ID in the Select box. You can type the vehicle ID, or click the Down Arrow and select it from the list of available vehicles. Description Type a description of the footage for future reference. From Time and To Time Enter the beginning and ending times of the video segment being requested. To do this, click the Down Arrow to launch the calendar, and select the date. User name and password Type the user name and password required to access the DVR. Type the password again to confirm it. Save data Select Save Video, Save Audio, or Save GPS to save the data. Clear the selection from any items you do not want to save. Schedule at Click the Up Arrow or Down Arrow to schedule a date and time for the download. If you do not adjust this as soon as the vehicles enters the depot the job will process. You would schedule the job if you know what time the bus will be back (during the day etc). Destination Leave this the default. Do not try to change. Priority Click the Down Arrow and select the priority of the request. You can adjust the priority if there are multiple jobs you may want one to download before others. If not, then do not adjust. Channel Filter You can download specific channels of video. You usually will not only want one camera. Leave this blank. Frame Filter This option allows you to reduce the download file size. If you recorded images at 30 fps and you want to bring down 10fps you can. You can t increase the frame filter. You will most likely leave this option blank. E-mail notification list Optional: Enter the e-mail addresses of persons to be notified when the job is complete. Click the Down Arrow and select the e-mail addresses from the list, or type the addresses, using a colon (:) to separate multiple e-mail addresses. 8

Managing CCTV and vehicle data files The CCTV and Vehicle Data Management tab displays the status of CCTV download requests. When a requested video has been received, the status of the request changes to Completed. Fleet Manager displays the time range and a description of the requested video segment, along with the user who entered the request (for user requests only this information is not given for automatic downloads). To view requested video: 1. Select the completed request from the CCTV and Vehicle Data Management tab. 2. Click the Viewer button. Video Manager will launch. 10
