Go to the Yak website at www.yak.ca, then click on the My Account button in the top right corner. This will prompt a login requiring one s Yak account number and password. Afterwards, the Welcome page will load. Click on the Digital Home Phone icon on the top row to access its various features and to tailor the service. Select your VoIP Number: On each tab of Digital Home Phone, this drop down will be available. If one owns more than a single Yak VoIP number, it will enable one to switch between them. 2
The Home tab will display recent call traffic for the selected Yak VoIP number. The complete lists are on their respective tabs: Inbox and Call Logs. Recent Voice Messages A list of recent calls that left a voice message. Details include the Source Number of the inbound caller, and the Date and Time Received. Audio: Clicking on Play will activate a playback of that voice message. Return Call: Clicking on Call Back will issue a call to that number via the currently selected Yak VoIP number at the top of the page. (The call will ring on the Yak Digital Home Phone.) 3
Recent Calls A list of recent call traffic, inbound and outbound. Details include the Number of the caller, the call Start Date and Start Time, and the Duration of the call. Return Call: Clicking on Call Back will issue a call to that number via the currently selected Yak VoIP number at the top of the page. (The call will ring on the Yak Digital Home Phone.) 4
The Inbox tab is the voice message bank for the selected Yak VoIP number. Recent Voice Messages A complete list of all voice messages still retained on the virtual answering machine. Details include the Source Number of the inbound caller, and the Date and Time Received. Return Call: To connect to any previous caller, click on Call Back. (The call will ring on the Yak Digital Home Phone.) Delete: Click on the X to permanently remove a message. 5

The Settings tab tailors the behaviour of the selected Yak VoIP number. User Settings Display Name: Enter what is desired as a name for other callers to see. Ring Time: The number of rings before the voicemail will answer the call. The maximum is sixty seconds. Language: The language one will hear when using the voicemail. Choices are French and English. Voicemail Review Caller Number: The voicemail bank will retain caller number and will recite it during message playback. Voicemail Review Date: The voicemail bank will retain call date and will recite it during message playback. Voicemail PIN: A four digit access code used to retrieve voicemail over a phone, and to change settings on the voicemail. Review changes made, then click Update to save. 7
The Features tab is where the various utilities can be customized. Click on the bar of any feature to open its prompt box. Call Return Displays the number of the last caller. Typing *69 on the Yak Digital Home Phone and pressing 1 will call that number. 8
Speed Dial Programs the speed dial numbers for the Yak Digital Home Phone. To program a speed dial, choose its number in the toggle, then type the phone number in the box underneath without any spaces, or special characters. After a review, hit + to add the new speed dial number. Programmed speed dial numbers will list in sequence. Pressing on the X beside any speed dial number will allow it to be deleted. Do Not Disturb One s Yak VoIP number will ring busy to all callers, and a message will inform them that one is not available. Activated: If this box is unchecked, the feature is off. 9
Forwarding Set a number to forward calls to by typing it in the box without any spaces, or special characters. Click Save to retain the changes. Activated: If this box is unchecked, the feature is off. Follow Me Programs up to three numbers that a caller will be forwarded to if the prior number in the chain does not answer, starting with the Yak VoIP number. If all numbers fail to answer, the caller will go to voicemail. To add a Follow Me number, type the phone number in the box without any spaces, or special characters. Review the number, then hit + to add it. Programmed Follow Me numbers will list in the order they were added. Pressing on the X beside any number will allow it to be deleted. Activated: If this box is unchecked, the feature is off. 10
Call Screen Blocks up to twenty numbers from calling one s Yak Digital Home Phone, or leaving a voicemail. To add a Call Screen number, type the phone number in the box without any spaces, or special characters. Review the number, then hit + to add it. Programmed Call Screen numbers will list in numerical order. Pressing on the X beside any number will allow it to be deleted. Activated: If this box is unchecked, the feature is off. IDBlock Permanently prevents one s number from displaying when calling a destination. This facilitates dialing *67 prior to each call. Activated: If this box is unchecked, the feature is off. 11
VoiceMail Directs callers to one s voicemail if the call is unanswered. Activated: If this box is unchecked, the feature is off. Email Notification Address Enter a valid email address to direct email notifications of voicemails immediately after they are generated. The email will include a copy of the message in an audio file that can be played back. Activated: If this box is unchecked, the feature is off. 12
The Address Book tab is where personal contacts are maintained. Address Book A complete list of all of one s contacts. Details include First Name, Last Name and Phone Number. Call: To connect to any contact, click on Call Back. (The call will ring on the Yak Digital Home Phone.) Delete: Click on the X to permanently remove a contact. 13
