One scholarship for a Fountain County student for full tuition plus required fees and books for 4 years at an Indiana college or university accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Must have been a resident of Fountain County or Mound Township, Warren County for 12 months prior to date of application, have graduated by the end of June 2013 with a diploma from an accredited Indiana high school, intend to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study beginning in the fall of 2013 at an accredited public or private 4-year college or university in Indiana, have never previously been enrolled in a post-secondary degree-granting program. Selection is based on academic performance, school activities, personal & community activities, creativity, financial need, work history, and a personal interview.
Steel Grip Scholarship, Inc. Applicant must be a graduate of Covington High School or Fountain Central High School (scholarship awarded at both schools). Priority given to applicants that are a relative of a current Steel Grip employee (spouse, child or grandchild). Applicant must be a full-time student at a 4- year accredited college or university pursuing a baccalaureate degree. This scholarship is awarded for seven (7) semesters if the applicant maintains a C and reports status and progress to the Covington Community Foundation, Inc. on a yearly basis. Rick Williams Memorial Scholarship, Inc. Applicant must reside in Fountain or Warren County for 12 months prior to date of application and be a current graduate of an accredited area high school. Priority given to applicants whose parents or grandparents are employees of Old National Bank & Trust in Fountain or Warren counties. Applicant is accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college, university or vocational school. Scholarships may be granted for multiple years upon re-application and academic performance. Award: 1-3 CCF Book Reimbursement Program March 8, 2013. Return application to guidance office or within 30 days after completion of the school semester for which the first stipend will be awarded. Applicant must be a graduate of Covington High School and be pursuing a college education at a four-year college, junior college or technical school. Reimbursement of book and equipment expenses. Must maintain 2.0 GPA or higher. Any student pursing a degree at an Indiana college or technical school is eligible. There are three award levels. For those pursuing a two-year degree, the award is $200/semester for three semesters. For those pursing a 4-year degree, the award is $400 per year for three years. For those pursing a 4-year degree and also one of the top 12 Lilly Scholarship finalist from CHS, the award is $600 per year for four years.
Award: Fountain County Instructional Materials Assistance Covington Citizens Scholarship Committee Applicant must have resided in Southeast Fountain and/or Covington school districts, have graduated from Fountain Central or Covington High School, be enrolled in a higher education school and must maintain an average or above average academic standing in post-secondary education. A recipient is eligible to receive scholarships for financial assistance for four (4) consecutive years of higher education if all other requirements are met. Reimbursement of book and equipment expenses. Don and Georgeanna Ford Volleyball Scholarship Covington Citizens Scholarship Committee Applicant must be a graduate of Covington High School and be a member of the Covington High School Volleyball Team and has earned a varsity letter. Financial need is a priority. Applicants must also be accepted as full-time student at a public or private college, university or vocational school accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Award is for one year. A written request for renewal of the scholarship along with proof of academic performance can be submitted. Renewal is based on available funds and the progress and academic performance of the applicant. Judith Woodrow Scholarship Covington Citizens Scholarship Committee Applicant must be a graduate of Covington High School and pursuing a degree in teacher education. Applicants must also have a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, accepted as full-time student at a public or private college, university or vocational school accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Spencer M.D. Scholarship Southeast Fountain Community Foundation Southeast Fountain Community Foundation Scholarship Committee The applicants must be a resident within the Southeast Fountain School Corporation or the Covington School Corporation for 12 months prior to the application date. One graduate from each school is to receive a scholarship award. The applicants must be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in medicine (medical doctor) or nursing, have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale), and exhibit financial need. Award is for one year of with the option to reapply. Renewal is based on the progress and academic performance of the applicant. The award and renewal can be for multiple years in order to support the student at any/all grade levels, including graduate degrees in medicine and nursing. Reagan & Hazel Mallett Memorial Scholarship Applicant must reside in Fountain or Warren County for 12 months prior to date of application and be a current graduate of an accredited area high school. The scholarship award is to be given to an applicant majoring in agriculture business operations or agriculture economics for students who will learn the business and economic principles behind running agricultural related businesses. Applicant must be accepted as a full-time student at any fouryear accredited college or university. Scholarships may be granted for up to four consecutive years upon re-application & academic performance. Priority is given to previous recipients. Must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA. 1-5

Witsman Scholarship Covington Citizen s Scholarship Committee Applicant must be a graduate of Covington High School and resident of the school district for 12 months prior to applying, must be accepted full-time at a vocational trade school or a two or four-year public or private college or university, must be pursuing a vocational trade career pathway (welding or auto mechanics), conservation officer, veterinary medicine or a teaching career, must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, and personal attributes should exhibit; someone who shows kindness and compassion, willingness to help others, hardworking, someone who is driven to better their life/the lives of others/the community, someone that shows gratitude and thankfulness to those who have helped mold them into the person they are becoming (ie, family, friends, teachers). Applicant must also exhibit financial need. The applicant must have demonstrated a commitment to the community and are continuing their education in the public service field. Public service includes those careers most closely associated with the work of fire fighting; including, but not limited to; fire fighting, fire inspection and investigating, emergency medical technicians, and emergency medical paramedics.
