Our Story. Doing what s right since 1965. The Guardian Mortgage Company story began back in 1965 when an enterprising young man of common sense, and uncommon smarts, had a better idea. Our founder, Jack Sweet, was building homes with his partners in Grand Blanc, were missing the mark on customer service. Jack thought he could take advantage of this opportunity by treating the customer the way he would want to be treated, through each step of the loan process. So, Jack set out to create a better kind of company. One built on integrity, superior customer service and mutual trust. The way Jack saw it, if you treat customers right, they ll not only come back they ll refer their families and friends for generations. customers. Leadership Team. At the heart of our success. Marcia Phillips President & Chief Executive Officer she assumed in 1988. She is also a longtime company Director. The Pennsylvania native earned a bachelor s degree in business administration, with Boulder in 1971. 7

Marcus McCue Executive Vice President & Chief Business Development Officer instrumental in Guardian s nine fold growth in retail loan origination since 2008. Marcus believes long-term success can be achieved with integrity. This is has been a reason for our rapid growth at a time when other mortgage companies have struggled. Marcus rose to a management position from an individual mortgage originator, where he was the company s leading producer. Rather than keep his secrets of 8

Cari McCue Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer As an industry leader, she has been a key factor in growing Guardian Mortgage Company, Inc., rapidly, ethically and responsibly. Recognized for her ability to analyze business practices as well as streamline technology processes, she manages both the retail and correspondent pipelines along with hedging and securitizing the secondary market. Cari founded the Correspondent Division in 2012, and this multistate program processes and outstanding customer service. Cari has a passion for the industry as well as for the team she surrounds herself with, and it shows in her effective leadership style and inspiring work ethic. 9

Linda started her career as a cashier working for First Security Bank in Grand Blanc, Michigan the best possible service to each and every customer they serve. 10

Leadership Team. At the heart of our success. Greg Sweet Senior Vice President Greg Sweet is Senior Vice President at Guardian Mortgage. In this role, he is responsible for creating smart, cost effective business solutions that enhance customer service and streamline internal processes. Greg came to Guardian in 1977 while still in college to work over the summer months. He s been here ever since. Drawn to the culture and people of Guardian, Greg learned the business from the ground up literally. He started in the basement doing the books and worked his way up through the ranks. He is foundation for business systems companywide. 11

Doug Sweet Senior Vice President An invaluable member of the Guardian Mortgage team since 1990, Doug Sweet is passionate about creating an environment of personal growth for his employees. for which Guardian Mortgage is known. The Guardian Identity Guidelines New Primary Logo Guardian Mortgage has developed a new logo that will replace our legacy logo. This new logo is the Guardian New Primary Logo. Developed to eliminate the issue of legibility in the legacy logo when reduced to small sizes. Also, to give Logotype Another option for the Guardian Mortgage brand identity is the logotype-only version. Applied in this manner, the logotype acts as a recognizable identity for Guardian. Both the primary logo and the logotype must always be reproduced as an can never change, and setting type to recreate it is not permitted. 17
