Key Purpose The Accounting/Business/IT Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient organisation, operation and academic delivery of the programs for international and domestic students. This role also involves teaching in VET classes (Accounting, Business or IT). Primary Functions Student Management Implement strategies to motivate students learning and attendance; To ensure student level of satisfaction is at 90% or more; To ensure student academic performance is maximised; Ensure prompt attention and action taken to student complaints; Implement student plagiarism and discipline strategies; Provide student academic counselling and advice on a regular and informative basis; Develop and carry out effective student course progress intervention strategies and implement course completions plans. Staff Management Work efficiently and effectively with the training staff in managing the daily operations of the Accounting/Business and IT VET programs; Prepare and administer induction training programs for new VET trainers, including for Learning Management System (Moodle); Assist, mentor and advise trainers on the day-to-day delivery of the programs; Monitor documentation of daily training and delivery plans for programs; Ensure trainers carry out their duties effectively and efficiently with due consideration for duty of care; Be responsible for planning and implementation of adequate level of extra curriculum activities at minimum twice a term; Maintain a list of available emergency trainers; organise replacement trainer if a trainer is absent; Be responsible for staff performance management and disciplinary processes if necessary. Page 2 of 4 Compliance Implement necessary policies and procedures to meet various audit, regulatory and funding requirements; Initiate and implement continuous development of policies and procedures to ensure quality delivery of the programs. Assessment and Training Manage and monitor the quality and implementation of Accounting/ Business/IT VET programs; Ensure the efficient, effective and quality delivery of programs. Implement training, delivery and assessment validation reviews on a regular basis; Ensure the training, delivery and assessments meet the AQF and training packages requirements; Ensure that industry consultations have been conducted and are reflected in the Delivery and Assessment Plan (DAP); Ensure the principles of assessment in VET have been adhered to, including the implementation of validation of assessment sessions conducted at least once a term; Monitor and supervise the on-going assessment process and documentation of programs; Conduct Credit Transfer and RPL assessments with a relevant experienced and qualified trainer if required. Resource Management Ensure accurate staff payroll information is provided to the accounts department in a timely manner, before the pay day; Organise resources and ensure files are kept current and maintained in an orderly and efficient manner; Ensure that the Learning Management System (LMS) for Accounting/Business/IT is kept current and working efficiently; Daily Organisation Monitor the weekly timetable to ensure class ratio is at 25 students per class; Be responsible for compliance and related matters; Be responsible for effective communication between clients, stakeholders, staff and Ozford community; Perform any other tasks requested by the Management. Qualifications Required: An undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification in relevant discipline: Accounting, Business or IT; TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Education.

The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years VET teaching experience; Administrative skills, ability and experience in the operations of a RTO, including daily organisation and quality of delivery VET courses; Excellent knowledge of the relevant Vocational Education and Training (VET) Training Packages; Ability and experience in the coordination of staff and students; Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders in the context of the College community; Ability to work as a supportive team leader with students, staff and management; Ability to contribute to the planning for the future of the College; Higher Education experience will be highly regarded; Excellent planning & problem solving skills; Flexible and innovative approaches to managing daily tasks; Working under pressure; Excellent relationship building and communication skills; Advanced computer skills including MS Office package including MS Outlook, databases and Moodle or other LMS Working with Children Check.
