Position Summary We are looking for a versatile UI designer with a proven track record of designing products for SaaS companies. The Ideal candidate will be a resourceful, efficient, self-driven, seasoned professional who can quickly produce designs for our Sales Enablement product suite. This role will be responsible for the development, design and in some cases redesign of Accent Technologies' Sales Enablement web-based products. Responsibilities Conceptualize, produce and prototype mobile and desktop application interface layouts and assets 2
Understand the needs of end users and convert those needs into appealing, highly usable interfaces Engage with both internal teams and/or customers to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers business problem/goals Develop an understanding of the end users needs through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data, etc.) Generate user personas and user scenarios Prepare low fidelity prototypes of sites/features (ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes or interactive prototypes) for internal review and collaboration Gauge the technical feasibility of the prototype Present highly defined designs/mock-ups to for review/iteration/approval Create user feedback evaluations from deployments, document feedback and make adjustments to designs based on user feedback to inform the decisions in the next iteration Essential Skills & Abilities Proven track record of creating UI designs for a SaaS solution, with portfolio examples Ability to create aesthetically appealing UI designs that clearly articulate functionality Knowledge of/experience in creating functional designs for HTML, CSS, XHTML, JQuery applications and User Interface Standards Principles Ability to document provided feedback on designs and implement adjustments to attain project objective Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries Interaction design skills and knowledge of when to utilize different application structures (such as hub-and-spoke designs versus interview flows), which design elements are best for certain types of information (such as when to use radio buttons versus drop-down menus), and how to create design deliverables (such as wireframes and design priority descriptions) Experience creating mobile friendly designs for desktops Basic object-oriented design experience 3
Basic knowledge of development tools and processes, such as source control, requirement specs, design and design review, code review, debugging, unit test, system test, performance test, etc. Basic understanding of Sass and Less competence in design software including Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch Experience in schedule planning, change management and usage-data collection to help the team move quickly Effective communicator with team-oriented attitude Experience with Bootstrap framework a huge plus Experience designing for ios and Android a huge plus Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor s degree (Master s degree or higher a plus) coupled with several years experience working in UI design What We Offer Accent Technologies is an EEO Employer.
