RX Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Ø Where is the zipper located on the simulator? Ø Where is the serial number located on the Manikin? Ø The serial number is vital for Technical Support to be able to keep a valid record of any issues regarding a specific manikin

Compressor Leakage Error Message

What To Do In The Event Of A Compressor Leakage Error. Ø Don t panic. You should still be able to continue your simulation Ø When you have a few minutes to spare find a lan cable and call Technical Support Ø We will walk you through checking the pressure and verifying if the issue resides in your leg or somewhere else using a process called the occlusion test. Ø We are continuously striving to perfect the design and improve the functionality and so as a result the new leg you receive may have an updated design. Ø In an effort to improve the efficiency of the compressor you can find software version 2.3.3 on the website which allows the airtank pressure to be released when the manikin goes to sleep.

SimMan3G Fluids

v Should you receive a new leg be sure to fill and drain it several times initially to assure all powder and residue from the fluid reservoirs is removed v Verify your fluid restrictor block is adjusted properly should you have any fluid issues. v After each use of the fluid system be sure to run a solution of 60% isopropyl alcohol through the manikin. v In the event you have a fluid issue and verifying that the restrictor block is open and flushing thoroughly with alcohol does not resolve the issue a beta patch is available via Technical Support v Only use distilled or de-ionized water with your simulator. v Never use Saline with your manikin

Proper cleaning techniques and materials KEYS TO KEEPING HIM CLEAN

Keys to keeping him clean Skin, use mild soap and water Isopropyl 70% can remove stains Baby Powder rub down Avoid using colored plastic gloves, as they may cause discoloration of the manikin skin. Do not use felt-tipped markers, ink pens, acetone, iodine or other staining medications near the manikin. Take care not to place the manikin on newsprint or colored paper. All staining may be permanent.

Ø The Average life of the batteries is 200 charge cycles Ø It is recommended to store the batteries in a refrigerator if possible. Ø Never store batteries fully charged for over a month Ø The manikin will automatically shut down if the temperature is above 140 degrees or if the remaining charge falls below 6% on one of the 2 batteries. Ø Never attempt to run on a single battery Ø Utilize your power panel for the electrical status of your manikin. Ø What to do in the even of an overheating error message Ø On approximately every 30th charge cycle, drain the battery completely before recharging. To drain the batteries run the manikin on both batteries until automatic shutdown. SimMan3G Batteries
