What is Hosted VoIP? VoIP is Voice over Internet Protocol. This is the method of handling telephone calls using the Internet as the delivery mechanism rather than traditional telephone lines. This technology is becoming the new standard in telephony with BT upgrading the whole UK network to VOIP with their 21CN programme. Already established in the USA, it is considered that VoIP has replaced the current systems in most big UK businesses. Hosted VoIP means that all of the technology required to utilise VoIP is hosted by the supplier. Making the service ideal for businesses who then don t need to purchase expensive telephone systems or maintain these in their office(s). The equipment is managed in a secure central site by the supplier and you have access over the Internet to manage your telephone numbers and features. Why consider Hosted VoIP? Network Operations Centre (NOC) The Liquid Network Operations Centre (NOC) monitors your system 24/7, and all switches, firewalls and routers are monitored so if there is a failure we know about it first. The NOC can monitor for faulty equipment right down to the individual port or cable and equipment is checked automatically throughout the day and reports are produced to ensure that the network is functioning as well as it should and to make sure we are maximising the resources available. The NOC is accessible to our engineers from any location using their laptops and mobile phones, whilst information is sent out automatically to them warning of potential problems and giving instant notification when a line anywhere fails. Bandwidth Monitoring for a whole site Identify the need quickly to upgrade or downgrade the line Individual monitoring for each client giving the ability to report to clients with issues and to provide dedicated bandwidth.
