Introduction Champagne Montaudon is a family house. It joined the group Alliance Champagne last December after 2 years with LVMH / Moet Hennessy. Champagne Montaudon sold 2.5 millions bottles this year for 30 millions Euros revenue. The priority for the group is to grow the international distribution of the brand and to keep its independence form Champagne JACQUART.

Sensory Notes: Next it is so pleasing on the nose : initially very expressive, it delivers reminiscent of floral aromas (linden), then of ripe fruits (pear and apple). The first sip delivers all the freshness and forcefulness so typical of our Brut Reserve Premiere. The attack is clear and franc. It develops a symphony of fresh fruit taste (pear). Note the fine balance between distinction and forcefulness. Food Pairing: We recommend the Brut Reserve Premiere as an aperitif or served as a dessert, complementing a fruit salad with white fruits, such as pear.

Chardonnay Premier Cru Blend: 100% Chardonnay Presentation: A fine, even effervescence greets the eyes, the wine being a beautiful gold with hints of green. The bubbles are very tiny and abundant giving birth to a persistent and creamy foaming. Sensory Notes: The nose is very developed and characterized by richer notes of nuts, grilled almonds and caramel, but remaining fresh and fruity. On the palate, the first sensation is intense and cut, giving later an impression of ample, crispy explosion of scents, so diversified and going through an experiment of milky aromas, and a more intense touch of toasted and grilled notes. The whole experience is perfectly balanced and harmonious yet dynamic: an echo between freshness, forcefulness and fruitiness. Food Pairing: This wine pairs well with a grilled lobster so as to enhance all its potential and complexity remaining however powerful. The Chardonnay 1er Cru develops a charming finesse along with delicate notes of praline and empyreumatics aromas. It consequently goes well with dessert based on those characteristics: Paris-Brest, Pears dressed with caramel or a fine and delicate chocolate.

Champagne Collection Blend: 50 % Chardonnay, 35 % Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Noir (red) Presentation: This champagne is elaborated from wines of the same year. Grapes were picked up from the same lots as well as the same areas, so as to keep on having this specific Champagne rosé style. The mastering and our house vinification take place in vats of 100 Hl. The red wine allowing such a brilliant rose comes from the Montaudon family, and from a specific lot in Les Riceys. Sensory Notes: The robe offers a dense and lively pink, a delicate pink with slightly coppered hints. The hue is brilliant. Bubbles are abundant forming a long-lasting finish, persistent and amazing. The finish of this rose characteristic becomes clearer and reaches a more feminine style. This wine is quite simple dazzling with its wealth of aromas and a deliciously long and powerful finish. Food Pairing: Grande Rose goes particularly well with those desserts which have a red fruit base: a red fruit salad, a charlotte aux fraises. It also goes well with a gratin de fruits rouge.

Vintage 2002 Blend: 53% Chardonnay, 47% Pinot Noir Presentation: The Cuvee particularly characterizes the tipicity of this excellent vintage: Low rainfall, drier weather with a healthier atmosphere. This led to a rare concentration and exceptional ripeness of grapes Sensory Notes: This wine offers a nice and beautiful golden yellow. Its effervescence is lively with a foaming ring of beads long-lasting and generous. The nose is very open and expressive. It reveals aromas of red fruits (sherries) enhanced with more complex aromas of crystallized fruits and finally ending on more floral scents. In the mouth, this wine is round and has a long finish. It recalls nougat as well as developing more empyreumatic notes such as dried fruits. Food Pairing: This champagne goes well with roasted paultry accompanied by «a gratin dauphinois» that will reveals the best of it.

Classe M Blend: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir Sensory Notes: The Class M has a nice pale straw-yellow robe and its effervescence is lively and persistent. As soon as you serve it, the wine displays an amazing crispy effervescence foaming. A silky as well as creamy long-lasting sparkle on the mirror (literally). That s one of the most specific characteristic of this exceptional wine. The nose is characterized by a great complexity and slowly develops fruit aromas such as: peach, very ripe apricot, even a jam touch. In the mouth, the first attack is clear and cut with nice ripe fruit aromas, later developing a predominant note of honey. You will be amazed by its long-lasting and plenitude aspect. Food Pairing: Class M matches very well with scallops fried in butter and then caramelized its own champagne sauce. It can be served with smashed potatoes so as to smoothen your palate.
