4 Community Corner WLFCU loves spring and summer for community events! The warmer weather lets us get out there in Hartford County to make new friends and spread the word about our Credit Union. In April, we held a Kids Helping Kids toy drive in conjunction with National Credit Union Youth Week. Thanks to the generosity of our members and staff, we were able to donate seven large grocery bags filled with toys to the Connecticut Children s Medical Center Foundation. The Foundation extends their sincere appreciation to all those who made donations. On May 17 th, WLFCU made its first annual appearance at the Windsor Shad Derby on their town green. Susan Szachon of Windsor was the lucky winner of our Stop & Shop gift card raffle and Ally Sailor of East Hartford won a gift card to Barts & The Beanery. A great time was had by all, and WLFCU made many new friends.
