3 Choosing Medicare Options Can Be Tricky Don t Miss This Free Workshop! We know how difficult and confusing the Medicare options can be, especially during the Annual Enrollment period when you receive an over-abundance of mail and solicitations. Weber State Credit Union would like to help by letting you know about a Medicare Made Clear workshop, presented by Weber State Credit Union and Patrick McGarry, a certified financial planner. The workshop will be held Tuesday, November 15, at the main branch at 4140 Harrison Blvd. at 2 pm and again at 5 pm. Friends are welcome but please register as seating is limited. The workshop is designed to help make sure our members who will either turn 65 in 2012, or are older than 65, understand Medicare and feel comfortable with the choices they make. Debit Card Courtesy Pay Extra Protection for Your Account Courtesy Pay is a service that allows transactions made on your checking account to clear, even if you don t have enough money in your account to cover the cost of the transaction. You can access up to $500 of Courtesy Pay protection through the use of a check, at a branch, over the phone, or with Bill Pay or through ACH transactions. As an additional option, you can opt-in to receive protection on ATM and Debit card transactions in the event of an overdraft. 6 Last year, we donated 157 pairs of shoes to kids in need with the proceeds of the winter Skip-a-Payment and your donations. Please help again this year by participating in Skip-a-Payment, or by making a donation at any branch, or call us at (801) Winter Skip-a-Payment If you would like a little extra cash during the holiday season, try our winter Skip-a-Payment. Just fill out the form and mail or deliver it to WSCU before Friday, November30, 2011 and you can skip one or all of your loan payments for a month. Several loans are not eligible, such as Visa balances, mortgages, delinquent loans, and loans less than 6 months old. There is a small fee of $35 that applies for each loan payment skipped, all proceeds will be donated to the Warm-the-Soles program.
