4 Get to Know Your Credit Union As a member of InvesTex Credit Union, you are an owner and have the right to various information of your credit union in accordance to the Texas State Finance Code InvesTex produces an annual report that is made available during the annual meetings and in each InvesTex branch location. Below is a list of the information available to you to learn more about your credit union: Balance Sheet and Income Statement Overall Financial Condition List of the current Board Members and associated term expiration dates List of the current Management Team Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation Membership Information Services Offered In accordance to section of the Texas Sate Finance Code, you may request to view a summary of the most recent annual audit, the most recent statement of financial condition, the IRS Form 990, as well as any other documents you are entitled to possess. Be sure to pick up the latest annual report and visit our website on a periodic basis for updates on your credit union. Board Elections Members seeking consideration for nomination by the Nominating Committee must submit a personal resume and completed and signed official Director Application and Agreement to Serve form. Official Director Application and Agreement to Serve forms may be obtained by contacting the credit union President at the credit union office which is located at 905 Aldine Bender, Houston, TX 77032, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. In order for an applicant to be considered by the Nominating Committee, all required forms must be returned to the credit union President by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, Verification of Accounts The Supervisory Committee is performing one of the required audits of credit union records. Please compare the balance(s) on your September 30, 2014 member statement with your records. If your records do not agree, write the differences and an explanation on the form enclosed in your statement. Be sure to include your member number and sign your name. Send the form to: A. Unless you report any differences within 30 days of September 30, 2014, the balances shown on your statement will be considered correct. 7 Employee Service Announcement August 24, 2014 marked 25 years of service for Jana (Anders) Gonzales, VP Business and Community Development. Born and raised in the Aldine-Houston area, Jana started in 1989 as the receptionist and has worked in several departments throughout her tenure. In addition to her commitment to the credit union, Jana also serves on the Spring ISD Board of Trustees, volunteers for local livestock shows, and proudly serves as the face of InvesTex attending many community events with local school districts and businesses. We are proud to have Jana in the community representing the credit union. Her commitment is commendable and we re proud she s a part of our team! Jana enjoys baking, gardening, shopping and spending time with her two sons, Justin and Dillon. She recently married and she and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time together.
