We have tried to anticipate your questions and concerns regarding the transition and have prepared this information package to assist you with the integration of your banking relationship into the OceanFirst Bank technology platforms. We are getting ready to complete the final step in merging Colonial American Bank into OceanFirst the full integration of your accounts and services, along with the Middletown and Shrewsbury branches, into our enhanced technology platform. On Monday, October 19th the Middletown and Shrewsbury branches, along with all of the accounts and banking services related to those offices, will begin to operate as OceanFirst Bank. Once this integration is completed, you will have full access to the locations and services offered to OceanFirst customers: A growing network of branches throughout Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties; Commercial Loan Centers in Red Bank, Toms River and Ewing Township; Wealth Management professionals with locations in Manchester and Red Bank; Home financing solutions provided by experienced loan officers that come to you when you need them; The latest technology for convenient access to your accounts from your home, office, smart phone or even your smart watch. OceanFirst has a long history of serving our neighbors in central New Jersey. Our community bank was founded in Point Pleasant Beach, Ocean County, in 1902 and is now headquartered in Toms River. Currently, our Monmouth County locations include: Pier Village in Long Branch, Freehold, Wall Township, Spring Lake Heights, and the Red Bank Financial Solutions Center - a perfect complement to the Middletown and Shrewsbury offices which will operate as OceanFirst Bank branches after the integration next month. 4 Key Dates Related to the Transition of Your Accounts Personal Accounts There are many details associated with the transition of the Colonial American Bank accounts and the integration to the OceanFirst Bank technology platforms. As a result, your services will be temporarily impacted for a short time when the final transition is implemented. Please carefully review the key dates below, along with the tips and information on the following pages, so you can anticipate and prepare appropriately for the integration process. We expect the Middletown and Shrewsbury branches to close for the technology integration and transition of accounts and services on Friday, October 16 at 6:00p.m. and reopen as OceanFirst Bank branches on Monday, October 19 at 8:00a.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 Middletown and Shrewsbury branches of Colonial American Bank will close at 6:00p.m. and remain closed for the weekend. ATMs at the Middletown and Shrewsbury branches will have reduced services. All accounts, including those registered for electronic statements, will be mailed a printed statement which will reflect any account activity since the prior regular statement distributed by Colonial American Bank, through and including October 16. Colonial American Bank s Online Banking system, including mobile banking, will be unavailable after 6:00p.m. Also, Colonial American Bank s Bill Pay system will be unavailable beginning on Tuesday, October 13 at 8:00a.m. Additional information for Online Banking and Bill Pay customers will be mailed prior to the integration. Colonial American Bank s Telephone Banking System will be unavailable after 6:00p.m. 2

5 Saturday, October 17, 2015 and Sunday, October 18, 2015 Colonial American Bank debit cards may still be used for withdrawals and debit transactions. The ATMs at the Middletown and Shrewsbury branches may have limited functionality throughout the weekend. Online banking, mobile banking and telephone banking will not be available while we transition these services throughout the weekend. Monday, October 19, 2015 Middletown and Shrewsbury branches and ATMs will open to serve you at 8:00a.m. as OceanFirst Bank. The same staff members you have come to know at these locations will be available to assist you and answer any questions you may have about your accounts and services. Access to OceanFirst Bank s Online Banking, Bill Pay and Telephone Banking systems will be available to activate or enroll your account(s). An OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard will have been mailed automatically to any customer that currently uses a Colonial American Bank debit card to access account(s). Beginning on Monday, October 19, 2015, please activate your new OceanFirst Visa CheckCard by following the instructions included with the card, and be sure to register for UChoose Rewards. We invite you to use any OceanFirst Bank locations for your banking needs. Visit for a complete list of branches and ATMs available. 3

6 Tips to Help - What you can expect before, during, and after the integration Middletown and Shrewsbury branches and ATMs We expect the Middletown and Shrewsbury branches to close for the integration of technology and transition of accounts and services on Friday, October 16 at 6:00p.m. and reopen as OceanFirst Bank branches on Monday, October 19 at 8:00a.m. You will find many of the same staff members that have helped you with your banking previously will still be serving you at these branches. Please contact the Middletown and Shrewsbury staff with any questions you may have regarding the transition of your accounts. As a result of the technology integration, the ATMs located at these branches will be replaced starting on October 14. Once the ATMs at the Middletown branch and Shrewsbury branch have been replaced, customers using Colonial American Bank debit cards will have reduced functionality at these locations until they activate their new OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard on Monday, October 19th. Deposit Accounts Please continue to use your supplies of checks and deposit slips after the transition of your accounts. Account numbers for personal and business checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) will remain the same. Any direct deposits or automatic debit instructions you have provided to merchants to access a checking or savings account will be unaffected as a result of the transition of your account to OceanFirst Bank. However, if a merchant has permission to place a recurring payment to your debit card you will need to contact the merchant or service provider directly with your updated information after you have activated your new OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard. 4

7 Statements for Deposit Accounts Every deposit account customer will receive a statement that is printed as of the close of business on October 16th that will include any activity in the deposit account since the previous statement received from Colonial American Bank. This is done in order to provide a final record of transactions included on the Colonial American Bank operating system. This statement will be sent by mail and includes customers that are using electronic statements. Please keep this information in a safe place with other records for your account. After the transition, statements for deposit accounts will be distributed by OceanFirst Bank and will provide all of the information you need regarding activity for your account. OceanFirst Bank checking and savings account statements will be prepared for a majority of customers using the same schedule you are accustomed to; however, statement cycles for some accounts may be adjusted slightly. If you received statements electronically from Colonial American Bank, you will need to re-register for this service at in online banking. Electronic Statements If you are currently registered for electronic statements with Colonial American Bank, access to these records will not be available as of Friday, October 16th at 6:00p.m. Please make sure you have stored all of your statement history prior to that time. Customers will not be able to access electronic statements after the transition and will need to re-register to continue this service by visiting online banking at continued 5

8 Online Banking and Bill Pay Services Colonial American Bank s Bill Pay Service will be unavailable as of Tuesday, October 13th. Any existing instructions for bill pay transactions will be completed without interruption. If you currently use Colonial American Bank s Bill Pay service, additional information regarding the transition of Online Banking and Bill Pay will be mailed to you separately. Colonial American Bank s Online Banking service will be unavailable as of Friday, October 16th at 6:00p.m. Please make sure you have stored electronic statement history prior to that time since you will not be able to access this system after the transition. OceanFirst Bank Online Banking and Bill Pay services will be available for you to register for these services once the transition of accounts has been completed. If you currently use these services with Colonial American Bank you will receive a separate communication with more detailed information. Debit Cards If you currently have a Colonial American Bank debit card, you will automatically receive a new OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard in the mail prior to the transition of your account. Your new card is currently scheduled to arrive no later than October 15th. Please keep your new OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard in a safe place until the morning of October 19th, when you will be able to activate your new card. Detailed instructions for activating your OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard, as well as how to register for UChoose Rewards, will be included in the package with your card. Your Colonial American Bank debit card can continue to be used for withdrawals and purchases until the transition of accounts is complete, which is currently scheduled for Monday, October 19th at 8:00a.m. 6

9 Although your new OceanFirst Bank CheckCard has a Visa affiliation, transactions completed using the card will still be automatically debited from your deposit account. If you have any recurring transfers authorized using your Colonial American Bank debit card, these will not be automatically transferred to your new card and you will need to contact merchants with your new OceanFirst Bank CheckCard information once you have activated your card. Loan Information The terms and conditions of your existing loan have not changed and you should continue to make payments as scheduled. Starting on October 19, 2015, loan payments may be made at any OceanFirst Bank branch or mailed to OceanFirst Bank, Attention Payment Processing, P.O. Box 2009, Toms River, New Jersey If your loan payment is made by a pre-authorized deduction from an account, payments will continue to occur without interruption. Once your loan has been migrated onto the OceanFirst Bank platform, you will receive a new loan number. The new loan number will be included on the first statement you receive from OceanFirst Bank after the integration of your account. If you have a home equity line of credit, you will automatically receive new checks to access your line. You may begin using the new OceanFirst Bank home equity line of credit checks on October 19th and you should destroy any remaining home equity checks for your Colonial American home equity line of credit at that time. Telephone Banking Colonial American Bank s telephone banking system will be unavailable after Friday, October 16th at 6:00p.m. OceanFirst Bank s telephone banking will be available for customers that would like to register for these services once the integration of accounts is completed. If your OceanFirst account will be a Simply Great Checking account, we have waived the monthly service fee of $6.95 through June 30, Afterward, simply maintain a daily balance of $5,000 and the service fee will continue to be waived. 12 Totally Free Checking for Personal Accounts The Totally Free Checking Account includes a free OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard, free online banking, free mobile check deposit and text banking, free telephone account access; and there is no minimum balance requirement for the account. If your OceanFirst account will be a Totally Free Checking account, we will waive the $2.50 fee for ATM transactions at ATMs not operated by OceanFirst Bank and the $5.95 monthly bill pay fee and offer rebates of ATM fees assessed by other banks of up to $10 per month through June 30, Remember to register your OceanFirst Bank Visa CheckCard for UChoose Rewards to begin earning points every time you swipe your card for a purchase. Money Market Investment Account, Statement Savings Account, CD and IRA The Money Market Investment Account and Statement Savings Accounts at OceanFirst Bank include the benefits of your current account. Money Market Investment Accounts may have a monthly service fee which will be automatically waived through June 30, 2016 for accounts transferred during the integration. Afterward, simply maintain a daily balance of $2,500 to waive the $10 service fee. Statement Savings accounts may have a monthly service fee which will be automatically waived through June 30, 2016 for accounts transferred during the integration. Afterward, simply maintain a daily balance of $250 to waive the $5 service fee. If you currently have a Certificate of Deposit or Individual Retirement Account these will automatically be transferred during the integration. You will receive additional notifications regarding your CD and IRA at the time you are scheduled for CD renewal or to coordinate your IRA distributions. 10

The residential mortgages and home equity loans and lines of credit will be automatically integrated into the OceanFirst Bank system with no changes made to the terms and conditions of the loans. Starting on October 19, 2015, loan payments may be made at any OceanFirst Bank branch or mailed to OceanFirst Bank, Attention Payment Processing, P.O.
