2 CDFI Grant to Strengthen Capacity Did you know that The Queen s Federal Credit Union was founded by native Hawaiian healthcare workers at The Queen s (Hospital) Medical Center 15 years prior to statehood in Their vision was to help native Hawaiian healthcare workers with their own personal finances and provide a financial institution that would serve their needs. To continue this mission, The Queen s FCU applied for a grant from the U.S. Treasury under its Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund, NACA Program Technical Assistance Award. The Queen s FCU received $24,950 to strengthen capacity to serve its target market.
