5 AONeuro Course Neurotrauma, Murnau, Germany, Invitation Dear colleagues, On behalf of AONeuro and your local and international faculty, we would like to welcome you to this AONeuro course. AONeuro has recently been established as an own specialty within the AO family, and we are very thankful to colleagues from AOCMF as well as Warren Schubert (Chairman AOCMF International) and Paul Manson (AO Board of Directors appointed Coordinator for AONeuro) who supported our group in the last years. Education has always been a major pillar in the AO and AONeuro is committed to remaining in the forefront of education and new developments as we strive to improve your educational experience with us. It is our goal to encourage and inspire younger neurosurgeons, but also those of neighbouring disciplines interested in the management of neurotrauma to pursue fulfilling careers in our field. This course will take place at the Trauma Centre Murnau, one of Germany s biggest trauma centres, and is organized in close collaboration with the Neurosurgical Department of the Ludwig- Maximillian-University Munich. We hope that your experience with us over the next few days will result in the acquisition of new knowledge, skills and understanding, which will translate into an improvement in the care that you are able to give your patients. We also hope that, as a result of this course, you will wish to develop a longer term relationship with AONeuro and become a member of our community. Make this organization yours by bringing in your opinions and ideas. Michael Bierschneider Chairman Aurelia Peraud Chairman
