2 harity In the Community (CITC) was established in 2002 as a 501 (c) 3 recognized nonprofit organization by founders Janette and Henry Razor. Located on Chicago's south side, CITC is focused on serving the under-served and disadvantaged residents of Chicago's inner city communities. Our mission is to promote community economic growth and development to the aforementioned communities and their residents by providing technology training and education along with professional development. Our instructors and course developers are experienced IT professionals who hold numerous certifications from such prestigious technical organizations as Cisco and CompTIA. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, eight out of the ten fastest growing occupations are computer related. While one might think of the typical IT worker as employed by a major software company or systems developer, the reality is that nine out of ten IT workers are found in banks, insurance companies, manufacturing plants or other non-it businesses. With IT careers growing exponentially, obtaining the necessary IT skills today leads to employment in areas that lift communities, establishes families, and provides future financial security. This is an excellent certification for anyone looking to enter into the world of information technology. A+ certification validates the latest skills needed by today's computer and network support professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers. A+ certification confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as IT hardware and software installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.
