3 Prepaid Cards The market-leading calling card platform DIGITALK s industry-leading prepaid calling card solution enables service providers to scale from thousands to hundreds of thousands of minutes seamlessly. Built on the experience of deployment at hundreds of service providers, it includes the full product, batch and card management capabilities to run a broad range of services efficiently, and is backed by least cost carrier routing to maximise margins and quality. In this large and dynamic market our prepaid calling card solution accounts for billions of minutes of traffic and is the first choice of a large number of service providers and market leaders across the world. Prepaid Cards is a flexible and highly scalable application supported by DIGITALK s Consumer Platform, enabling service providers to migrate to Next Generation Network and IP technology. That means we can offer a complete, service-ready, solution that can provide a fast track to market, product differentiation to niche markets and rapid revenue generation. Simply put, it has all the management, pricing, carrier routing, real-time rating and reporting facilities that service providers. We will expand with DIGITALK integrated IP telephony products to take full advantage of the rapid up-take of broadband voice. 4 Prepaid Residential Flexible calling packages for multiple customer segments By offering carrier pre-select, call-by-call, callback and call shop services based on DIGITALK s Prepaid Residential application, service providers can target specific groups of customers with competitive international calling packages. Consumers can benefit significantly from competitive outbound calling services, particularly those targeted to specific regions and communities, for a range of international destinations. DIGITALK provides full support for residential Indirect Access and Carrier Pre-Select services, meeting requirements for incumbent network integration, and offers an extensive range of configurable settings for Callback services to meet local service deployment requirements. 5 Broadband Telephony Highly scalable IP telephony for primary and secondary line services Residential IP telephony is growing rapidly whether as a standard primary line residential service or as an alternative secondary line option. DIGITALK s Broadband Telephony service enables new and existing broadband providers to generate incremental revenues over broadband internet access, quickly and easily, with the platform features, scalability and support to generate impressive results. 6 Consumer Platform A complete NGN service delivery platform Our complete service delivery environment for pre and post-paid consumer applications is based on the highly flexible DIGITALK Media Application Server, operating DIGITALK s Broadband Telephony, Prepaid Cards and Prepaid Residential service-ready applications, as well as custom solutions. And our integrated Session Border Controller greatly simplifies application deployments by providing a single point of integration with session load balancing across multiple Media Application Servers. Extensive operations and business support capabilities enable network operators to deploy and launch services both quickly and cost-effectively. Service providers can offer the features relevant to their target groups and support them from service activation and usage to charging and payments. Web self-care and interactive voice response (IVR) menus offer greater flexibility and control while reducing overheads. Subscription and tariff management tools allow service providers to execute highly competitive pricing offers and promotions, including recurring fees, calling rates, service usage packages and add-on bundles. And real-time rating and balance management enables service providers offering post paid charging the ability to apply real-time credit control to minimise any risk of revenue loss. They can also exert real-time control over their costs and margins by capturing carrier costs and applying least cost routing to obtain the required quality of service at the best available price. 7 Case Study Situation Dutch incumbent operator KPN provide both mobile and broadband services under its Telfort brand. And as an ISP, Telfort are able to offer a full primarily line residential IP telephony service to their customers. Problem Telfort s previous solution, based on an open source platform, was letting them down in terms of features, reliability and scalability. Without a replacement solution, they were unable to expand and their reputation in the market was being damaged. Solution DIGITALK s Broadband Telephony application running on the DIGITALK Consumer Platform was selected as a replacement solution that would both address Telfort s existing issues and provide the basis for future service and subscriber expansion. Complete service substitution was achieved using a staged process beginning with test environment deployment that enabled inter-operability testing with the wide variety of client devices in use through to a managed sequence of subscriber migrations. and the new solution went live in twelve weeks.
