3 HARMONY EDWARDS RID, LEED AP is a Registered Interior Designer and one of the Founding Principals of Edwards+Mulhausen Interior Design. A graduate of Western Michigan University, Harmony has over 10 years of design and project management experience in facility planning and corporate interiors. Upon relocating to the Austin area in 2000 she worked for the Seton Healthcare Network as a Construction Project Manager and Network Interior Designer, and spent 2 years in residence at Intel Corporation as their Austin Tactical Space Planner. Her experience as a Construction Project Manager and owners representative for the largest hospital network in Central Texas, along with past experiences at Intel Corporation and Pharmacia Corporation has provided her with a unique perspective on the complexities of large scale renovation design and construction projects, and the unique needs and requirements of the facilities market. Harmony is a LEED Accredited Professional and worked as an owner representative for Seton Healthcare Network on the Dell Children s Medical Center, the first LEED Platinum Healthcare facility. Harmony s portfolio includes projects for Scott and White Healthcare,Texas A&M, University of Texas, Hensel Phelps Construction Company and many other private and public entities. Harmony is the President elect for the Texas Association for Interior Design (TAID) and recently served as the Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs for the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Austin City Center. KATHLEEN MULHAUSEN IIDA, LEED AP has focused her design career on the understanding and improvement of human environments implemented through a multitude of renovation and new construction projects. Throughout her career, Kathleen's work has been widely recognized on notable projects such as Driscoll Children s Hospital, Texas A&M Health Science Center, Hensel Phelps Construction Company and Midtown Title District Office. She is passionate about the role that design can play in working environments as well as the functional efficiency of organizations. Prior to partnering with Harmony Edwards to form Edwards+Mulhausen Interior Design, Kathleen functioned as Director of Interior Design at Carson Design Associates and also as a Project Designer at Page Southerland Page Architecture. She has been an active member of the Austin design community for the past 12 years including her role as Texas State University guest lecturer and participation in the University of Texas Interior Design mentoring program. Kathleen applies a philosophy of human-centered design that delivers an improved user experience and functional efficiency through a deep understanding of the lives of the people that utilize the space. MARLA COFFEE IIDA brings over 20 years of experience in project management and interior design for education to the Edwards + Mulhausen team. Marla has worked on all facets of design and construction projects, including management, programming, contract documents, FF&E and construction administration. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, Marla founded the Interiors department at Pfluger Architects specializing in educational and learning environments. Her notable projects include the ACC Cypress Creek Campus, Akins High School, Round Rock Performing Arts Center and the Andrews Performance Complex. She was the lead designer for Ronald Reagan High School which won the IIDA Honor Award and the TASA/TASB Caudill Award. Marla also served as the program manager for the 10 projects resulting from the $127 million bond election at San Marcos CISD. Other large scale projects include Travis County Correctional Complex, Bethany Lutheran Church, Burnet County Jail and Ash Street Condominiums. Marla served on the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Austin City Center Council for over 5 years, including a term as Director in 2006.

9 THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT SAN ANTONIO NORTH PASEO ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING san antonio, texas FF&E Specification/Installation/Move Coordination Installation Date: October 2011 FF&E Cost: $1,827,348 Project Square Footage: Approx. 74,000 SF The North Paseo Building consists of two office buildings totaling 74,000 SF designed to accommodate eleven different departments ranging from Vice Provost of Accountability and Institutional Effectiveness to Army and Air Force ROTC. Primarily consisting of faculty and staff offices, the facility also contains classrooms, training areas and ancillary support spaces. As part of our basic services we completed a comprehensive inventory of existing departmental assets to evaluate for potential re-use and determined that the furniture did not meet the University s requirements for a new facility. A detailed recommendation package was prepared describing the findings which assisted in the University s decision to proceed with new furnishings for the project. Our team was able to present a comprehensive design solution that addressed the needs of all the varied departmental groups in a holistic manner, and also ignited a spark of excitement in the group that has allowed us to build positive relationships with the end users. 19 TEXAN EYE CARE CENTER austin, texas AGC Design Award Winning Ophthalmology Offices Completion Date: March 2007 Overall Project Cost: $ 2.5 Million Project Square Footage: Approx. 19,000 SF Texan Eye purchased the State Cosmetology Licensing Department's building with the intent of renovating the building to house their main ophthalmology practice. The renovation included the complete renovation of the first floor, re-creating the entry procession and façade and developing architectural elements to identify the building. The first floor was designed to increase the flow and productivity of the doctors. E+MID provided full service interior design services as well as the FF&E package. The lobby materials keep the warmth of the wood and earth tones as you enter and transitions thru a cut stone wall and curved wenge wood wall. The waiting rooms were to be configured in seating groups in lieu of 'bus station' type seating. The small groups of seating allow for an intimate setting that is relaxing and comforting. While the renovation was not required to be LEED certified, many elements of sustainable design were incorporated into the building. This new facility will support the practice well into the future with expansion on the second floor. Architect: Haddon+Cowan Photography: Trey Hunter TEXAN EYE

21 DELL CHILDREN S MEDICAL CENTER austin, texas Opened in 2007 as the first LEED Platinum Hospital in the United States to receive recognition from USGBC. Completion Date: June 2007 Overall Project Cost: $ 137 Million FF&E Cost: $ Approx. $ 3.4 Million Project Square Footage: Approx. 470,000 SF This nationally recognized facility consists of areas dedicated to patient care, public spaces such as café and lounge spaces, staff and administrative areas, laboratory and research spaces, inpatient and outpatient pharmacies and much more. As both an employee of the Seton Network Facilities Department and as a consultant, Harmony Edwards was the Owners representative for all of the facilities furniture requirements. By taking a cumbersome and lengthy specification and tasking bidders to propose ways to fulfill the entire specification with products that they represent or could outsource, she was able to streamline the procurement and installation process as well as shave nearly 1 million dollars from the furniture budget by maximizing product from each vendor. This process also allowed the facility to maintain a single point of contact throughout the multi-phased furniture installation process in which there was no room for error or delay. Harmony was also responsible for coordinating the creation and installation of large scale custom artwork pieces for the facility and worked closely with local, national and international artists to provide one of a kind works for the hospitals public collection.
