3 PROGRAM OVERVIEW Bachelor OF ARTS IN Strategic Design & Management This program helps prepare students to use design as a strategic asset for industry and social innovation challenges. Through study of design, research methods, strategic thinking, business, leadership and presentation skills, students learn to identify design opportunities, develop a vision, manage and work with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, designers, and technologists, to create strategies and effectively present them to management, clients and stakeholders. Career options: design strategist, design manager, design researcher, design director, creative director, brand manager, marketing manager. Pending WASC approval Bachelor OF ARTS in PRODUCT DESIGN Bachelor OF Interior Architecture & Design Interior architecture involves questions of how to animate and enliven a space how to transform a building into something to be used and lived in. As you earn your degree in interior architecture, you ll explore how to innovate freely within the boundaries of the profession. You ll learn how to approach design from both the intuitive and technical sides, including concept development, liaising with project stakeholders, and managing and executing the design. An interdisciplinary curriculum will encourage you to develop a highly experimental attitude. Career options: interior architect, interior designer, exhibit designer, lighting designer, furniture designer, project manager, design director, commercial designer, space planner. Design permeates our world: the objects we live with, the cars we drive, the way we punch keys of our smartphones. Our degree in product design explores these multifaceted applications and teaches you how to think in a way that solves design problems. As a product designer, you will combine art, science and technology to create innovative products and services. Career options: product designer, industrial designer, car/transportation designer, interaction designer, furniture designer, service and experience designer, food designer, project manager, design director.
