Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy Building Addition and Renovation Programming, laboratory planning, and design of addition to William Levine Hall on Rutgers Busch Campus to provide new facilities for pharmacy teaching and research; program includes lecture halls, small-group learning and case study classrooms, simulation laboratories, administrative pharmacy practice space, research laboratories and support, and IV admixture room for training students in preparing sterile intravenous medications; 60,000 gsf; $25 million; completion Ellenzweig is serving as Design Architect and Lab Planner in a collaboration with Clarke Caton Hintz, Architect of Record. Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Ohio Interdisciplinary, Collaborative Learning Complex to serve: - Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine - Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine - Case Western Reserve University School of Nursing - Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine Programming and design consultation services for a new facility housing all of the education, student, and administrative functions of these four entities in a collaborative and integrated environment. Program includes large format, case method, and small-group, problem-based seminar rooms; simulation and clinical skills facility shared by users across all disciplines, comprised of exam rooms for standardized patient-student interaction, simulation spaces for interactions with medical manikins, and de-brief rooms, control rooms, orientation spaces, and technical support; and student spaces including learning communities, learning resource center, active lounges, and collaborative study areas. Program includes: manikin-based simulation in clinical environments including operating rooms, delivery suites,

Holyoke Community College, Holyoke, MA Facilities Modernization and Expansion for Division of Health and Natural Sciences Programming, design, construction administration services for renovation of former commercial office building to serve Nursing and Radiologic Technology programs; includes simulation center and skills labs, bed lab, exam rooms, radiology suite, classrooms including 100-person flexible, debrief rooms, faculty and administrative offices, conference rooms, and space for the campus police; 20,000 gsf; $4 million; Central Michigan University, College of Medicine, Saginaw, MI Medical School Building (East Campus) Program development, feasibility study, design, and construction administration for a new medical school facility marking the launch of the University s East Campus. Program includes simulation/clinical skills center, large-group interaction space, anatomy lab suite, problem-based learning spaces, learning commons, student lounge, study spaces, and administrative spaces; 100,000 gsf; Ellenzweig served as Program and Design Architect for the interior spaces, working with URS Corporation, Architect of Record and Design Architect for the core and shell. Northeast Ohio Medical University, Rootstown, Ohio Research and Graduate Education Complex Development of 25-year campus master plan followed by programming, lab planning, design, and construction administration services for three project components: the new Research and Graduate Education Building, addition and renovations to the Comparative Medicine Unit, and renovation of Building D to provide laboratories for public/private partnership; program includes research laboratories, lab support, seminar and conference rooms, faculty offices, mechanical plant, connecting bridge; 93,000 gsf; $34.4 million; LEED Silver certification targeted. Yale University School of Nursing, West Haven, CT Renovation of Existing Building to House Nursing School Programming, planning, design and construction administration services for renovation of a former pharmaceutical office building to house the entire School of Nursing program on the new Yale West Campus; program includes facilities for both teaching and research programs: lecture halls, classrooms, and small-group rooms, video-conferencing facilities, simulation suite, physical assessment and task trainer labs, mock examination rooms, learning commons, biobehavioral research suite, a student hub with lounge, café, and student meeting spaces, and all administrative office functions; 81,400 gsf; $7.6 million; New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York Clinical Skills Center, Disaster Medicine Facility, and ibio Incubator Programming, design, and construction administration for a new simulation/ clinical skills center to be located in an existing laboratory building. Program includes: exam rooms, four simulation rooms, bed lab, virtual reality suite, lecture hall, lockers, de-brief rooms, and administrative and staff offices. The project includes the Disaster Medicine Center for Emerging Infections, containing a GIS lab and a disease modeling lab, and the Biotechnology Incubator, which provides office and research space for private-sector R&D firms; 30,000 gsf; $8 million; 2014.

Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA Medical Education and Research Building Phased Renovations of Jones Institute/Lewis Hall/Brickell Library Complex Programming, lab planning, design of new and renovated research and teaching facilities to serve the Medical School and School of Health Professions. Program includes research laboratories, core labs, vivarium for non-human primates, clinical skills/simulation suite, lecture halls, classrooms, teaching laboratories, lab support, offices, administrative areas; 100,500 gsf new, 70,400 gsf renovated; $52 million; Ellenzweig served as Design Architect and Lab/Educational Facilities Planner, working with Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas + Associates, Architect of Record. Central Michigan University, College of Medicine, Mount Pleasant, MI Medical School Building Addition (West Campus) Programming, lab planning, and design of new medical education facilities including teaching labs, anatomy labs, classrooms, clinical skills suite, lounges, offices; registered for LEED Silver certification; 62,500 gsf; $15 million; Ellenzweig served as Program and Design Architect for the interior spaces, working with URS Corporation, Architect of Record and Design Architect for the core and shell.

University of Louisville, Louisville, KY School of Medicine Instructional Building and Renovation of Kornhauser Health Sciences Library Programming and schematic design services for addition and renovations to the Instructional Building and Kornhauser Health Sciences Library/Commons, serving the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Public Health and Information Sciences; includes clinical simulation center, lecture halls, problem-based learning rooms, flexible classrooms, small seminar rooms, anatomy suite, computer testing facilities; 36,000 gsf new, 72,000 gsf renovations; $50 million estimated; 2013; LEED Silver certification targeted. Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN College of Pharmacy, Multi-Phased Research and Teaching Facilities Master planning, programming, and conceptual design services for new research and instructional facilities; teaching labs, pharmacy practice teaching, lecture halls, classrooms, research laboratories, core labs, vivarium, student spaces, public dispensing pharmacy, administration, servery and kitchen; 265,000 gsf; Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, Grand Rapids, MI Secchia Center for Medical Education Programming, lab planning, and design of new teaching building for the College of Human Medicine, including teaching labs, library, classrooms, clinical skills suite, gross anatomy lab, lab support, meeting rooms, lounges, offices for faculty and administration; facilities including food service for community outreach functions; LEED Gold Certified; 180,000 gsf; $48 million; Ellenzweig served as Design Architect and Educational Facilities Planner, working with URS, Architect of Record. University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Pharmacy, Baltimore, MD Pharmacy Hall Addition Programming, lab planning, and design for major addition and renovations to existing Pharmacy Hall, including teaching and research labs, pharmaceutical practice labs, lecture halls, problem-based classrooms, lab support, meeting and conference rooms, lounges, faculty and administration offices; new atrium serves as primary function space and connects first three floors of the addition to the original building; bridges connect the two at the upper four floors; 127,400 gsf new, 10,000 gsf renovation; $58 million; Ellenzweig served as Design Architect and Lab/Educational Facilities Planner, working with Richter Cornbrooks Gribble, Architect of Record. LEED Gold certified.

5 University of Kentucky, College of Pharmacy, Lexington, KY Biological Pharmaceutical Complex Ellenzweig provided programming, lab and instructional facilities planning and design, and architectural design for the new home of the College of Pharmacy, a building that houses all Pharmacy functions: research, teaching, and administration. The program includes research laboratories for Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutics; teaching laboratories including compounding lab, patient interaction lab, and sterile I/V prep lab; lab support; a clinical simulation center with 10 exam rooms, a briefing room, write-up room, control room, standardized patient lounge/briefing area, and storage areas; core facilities including NMR and mass spec labs; animal facility; meeting and conference rooms; lecture halls; a variety of classrooms including small-group learning and seminar rooms; lounge and social spaces; offices for faculty, graduate students, and administration; and the central atrium that serves as the main function space; 300,000 gsf; $132 million; 2010 (fit-out of final two research floors was completed in 2012 and achieved LEED CI Silver certification). Ellenzweig served as Design Architect and Lab/Instructional Facilities Planner in a collaboration with EOP Architects, Architect of Record. Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Pharmacy, Richmond, VA Programming Study (2008) and Phased Renovations (Phase 1, 2010) Programming and feasibility study for renovation and new building scenarios; includes clinical skills center, modular research labs for Departments of Pharmacy, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, vivarium, teaching labs, classrooms, lecture halls, faculty offices, administrative space, student spaces and lounge/break-out areas. Study: 220,000 gsf, Phase I renovations: $4 million, Ellenzweig served as Program Architect and Lab/Educational Facilities Planner, working with BCWH Architecture, Architect of Record and Design Architect.
