Northeast Ohio Medical University, Rootstown, Ohio Research and Graduate Education Complex Development of 25-year campus master plan followed by programming, lab planning, design, and construction administration services for three project components: the new Research and Graduate Education Building, addition and renovations to the Comparative Medicine Unit, and renovation of Building D to provide laboratories for public/private partnership; program includes research laboratories, lab support, seminar and conference rooms, faculty offices, mechanical plant, connecting bridge; 93,000 gsf; $34.4 million; LEED Silver certification targeted. Yale University School of Nursing, West Haven, CT Renovation of Existing Building to House Nursing School Programming, planning, design and construction administration services for renovation of a former pharmaceutical office building to house the entire School of Nursing program on the new Yale West Campus; program includes facilities for both teaching and research programs: lecture halls, classrooms, and small-group rooms, video-conferencing facilities, simulation suite, physical assessment and task trainer labs, mock examination rooms, learning commons, biobehavioral research suite, a student hub with lounge, café, and student meeting spaces, and all administrative office functions; 81,400 gsf; $7.6 million; New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York Clinical Skills Center, Disaster Medicine Facility, and ibio Incubator Programming, design, and construction administration for a new simulation/ clinical skills center to be located in an existing laboratory building. 5 University of Kentucky, College of Pharmacy, Lexington, KY Biological Pharmaceutical Complex Ellenzweig provided programming, lab and instructional facilities planning and design, and architectural design for the new home of the College of Pharmacy, a building that houses all Pharmacy functions: research, teaching, and administration. The program includes research laboratories for Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutics; teaching laboratories including compounding lab, patient interaction lab, and sterile I/V prep lab; lab support; a clinical simulation center with 10 exam rooms, a briefing room, write-up room, control room, standardized patient lounge/briefing area, and storage areas; core facilities including NMR and mass spec labs; animal facility; meeting and conference rooms; lecture halls; a variety of classrooms including small-group learning and seminar rooms; lounge and social spaces; offices for faculty, graduate students, and administration; and the central atrium that serves as the main function space; 300,000 gsf; $132 million; 2010 (fit-out of final two research floors was completed in 2012 and achieved LEED CI Silver certification).
