1 Guidance for completing the Your Wirral online application form Visit Read the guidance and check if you are eligible. Click the big green button on the right hand side APPLY FOR YOUR WIRRAL FUNDING The Your Wirral application form is an online form and each section must be fully completed before you can move onto the next. There is however a facility to save application forms to enable you to go back and amend or input information at a later date. Please note it is a good idea to copy your information from the form into a Word document and save regularly in case of any technical difficulties or human error. Lost data can not be retrieved. Constitution/governing documents This question asks if your organisation has a constitution or governing document you are asked to indicate Yes or No. If you choose the No option you will not be able to proceed with the form as only those organisation with constitutions/governing documents can apply. Bank Account This question asks if you have a bank account, only organisations that have a bank account can apply for funding. If you select the YES option you can move onto the next step. If you select the NO option you can not progress with the form. If you require assistance in setting up a bank account support is available from the Community Team at Community Action Wirral on or info@communityactionwirral.org.uk 1

2 Supporting information and Terms and Conditions This question asks if you have read the supporting information and the Terms and Conditions of the Your Wirral Grant 2014 scheme. You are asked to indicate Yes or No. If you choose the No option you will see a series of web links that you can click on to take you to the relevant information. It is recommended that you read these documents to ensure that your project is eligible for funding. Agreement with the terms and conditions is a requirement of receiving a grant if your application is successful. Constituencies You are asked to indicate in which Constituency/Constituencies your project/activity is taking place by choosing on the relevant box. If you are unsure of the constituency and require further information choose the Yes option on the question below it will show you which wards are located in each constituency. If your project/activity is taking place in more than one constituency or the beneficiaries come from one or more constituency choose the Wirral wide option. 2

3 Beneficiaries Beneficiaries are the people that are taking part in the activities/project. This question asks you to tick the boxes to indicate which ward/wards the people taking part in the project or activity live. Amount of funding Write the amount of funding that you are applying for in this box it must not exceed 2,500. Number of people Write the number of people that will be taking part in the project/activity in this box. How many people benefit from your project may affect the outcome of the evaluation. Overall cost of project/activity This question refers to projects that have applied to funding from a number of sources. The applicant is asked to state the overall cost of the project including the amount asked from Your Wirral. You are asked to indicate when you applied for other funding and if you have received confirmation that you will receive it (secured) or if you are still waiting to hear (pending). Other funding This question asks if you need to secure any additional funding for your project. If you do it will ask you to chose if the funding is pending or secured. You are asked to indicate how you will fund the deficit. If you do not need additional funding for your project/activity to go ahead, write N/A in the box. Insurances, DBS, Policies This section asks if you have the required policies, DBS (disclosure & barring) for staff and volunteers and Public liability insurance in place to undertake the project. If these do not apply then put N/A in the box. The Council reserves the right to check that you have the necessary insurances, DBS checks and policies to undertake the project or activity. What will the money be spent on financial breakdown and upload This question asks you to upload a financial breakdown of what the money will be spent on. It is best to upload this information in a Word, Excel or PDF format as jpeg files can be large and could prevent you submitting your application form. State the item and the amount and total and upload the document onto the application form. To upload click Choose file. Locate the file you want and click open this will upload the document to the application form. There is a second button to upload estimates for larger purchases. If you do not upload you financial breakdown your project will not be evaluated by the Panel. 3

4 What is the project about/fit with 7 themes Write a brief description of your project, no more than 200 words telling us what it will do and how it contributes to the outcomes of 1 or more of the 7 themes of Your Wirral. 7 Themes of Your Wirral 1. Creating an attractive and safe environment 2. Contributing to community economic regeneration 3. Preventing crime or reducing the fear of crime 4. Providing employment and training for local people 5. Benefiting local people who face discrimination 6. Improving community facilities 7. Engaging communities to improve quality of life Need of project and evidence This question asks you to demonstrate how you know your project is needed and what evidence you have to show the need. Need in this context refers a situation, problem or issue that you want to change for the people taking part in the project/activity. How will having the funding bring about positive outcomes for those involved, why will having the funding make a difference. Have you undertaken any research to show that this is something that is really needed to meet the needs of the participants? What evidence can you provide: questionnaire, online survey, feedback from events, minutes of meeting or documented requests from groups members or local residents. Success of project/activity When designing your project/activity it is important that you think about how you are going to measure if it achieved what it set out to do. What systems will you use to collect data, will you be writing case studies or taking pictures? You will be asked to complete a monitoring form upon completion of the project/activity so it is important to think about this when before starting. 4

5 Name of project Write the name of your project in this box choose a name that is different to the name of your organisation. What is the name of your organisation? Write the name of your organisation What does your organisation do? Give a brief description of what your organisation does and who uses the services. What type of group are you? The above question asks what type of organisation you are there is the option to choose community and voluntary organisation, charity and social enterprise (CIC). Click on the correct option then upload your constitution or governing documents. If you do not upload the document you application can not be processed and you will not be able to progress with the online application form. It is best to send this information in a Word, Excel or PDF format as jpeg files can be large and could prevent you submitting your application form. To upload click on the choose file button and it will take you to the files on your computer. Locate the file you want and click open this will upload the document to the application form. 5

6 Bank details You will need the following bank details. Please note you will need either Account Number OR Building Society Account Number Bank Account/Building society name This section requires you to fill in your bank or building society details. 6

7 Contact details Please ensure you provide an active address as you will receive information and decisions regarding your application via . This section asks for the main contact for communication. Name and role within project/activity Write the name of the key contact for the project and their contact details in this box Declarations Committee/Board members This section asks you for the contact details of two members of your Board of Committee that will be accountable for the funding. 7

8 Confirmation This section asks you to say where you saw the funding advertised When you have finished you can choose to Review your application before you Submit. 8
