4 1 SCOPE This document is the guide for installation and configuration of MY-HAI gateway. This device allows to connect HAI (Home Automation Inc) controller and SCS My Home Bus of BTicino, for lighting and automation application. 1.1 ACRONYMS AND ABBREVIATIONS P/N o PN S/N o SN Part Number Serial Number 1.2 DEFINITIONS Gateway Programming software Device to convert different protocols Software to configure the table to link one protocol to another 2 INTRODUCTION The manual describes the functionality and the implementation of the MY-HAI gateway, aimed at communication between any number of HAI Omni home automation center and an automation system MyHome Bticino lights and motors. This communication enables exchange of commands and status between the Controller HAI and home automation system based on bus SCS MyHome. Along the bus can be connected MyHome more components, such as interfaces, buttons, relays, dimmers and modules scenarios. As for the configuration of the various modules MyHome (Point of Light, Ambient, relays, dimmers, etc...) refer to the manuals the MyHome Bticino. Pag. 4/12

5 3 AS IT WORKS MY-HAI Gateway translates the commands and status generated by a system to the other, based on a correlation table set previously, which combines the structure of Centralite Unit and Scenes into MyHome Unit, Ambient, Bus ID, Scenes. This association is established through the configuration software MY-HAI Programmer. The program runs on a standard PC-Win connected to the gateway, on which is then downloaded the configuration to use. 4 STANDARD EQUIPMENT - One MY-HAI Gateway - One cable with RJ11connector; - One cable M/F with DB9 connector; 5 STARTER KIT EQUIPMENT Standard items plus - MY-HAI Adapter to communicate with MY-HAI Programmer - Power supply with output 9Vdc - OpenWebNet interface Pag. 5/12

6 6 CONNECTIONS For operational mode - Connect cable RJ11 to serial port of Controller HAI, series OMNI (Omni LT, Omni IIe, Omni Pro); - Connect cable RJ11 to HAI port of MY-HAI Gateway; - Connect serial cable with connector DB9 to interface Bticino OpenWebNet L4686SDK; - Connect serial cable with connector DB9 to MYHome Port of MY-HAI Gateway; - Connect power supply connector to 12V. For programming phase - Disconnect RJ11 cable from HAI Port of MY-HAI Gateway; - Connect MY-HAI Adapter into HAI PORT of My-HAY Gateway and PC; In operational mode with Omni LT controller the gateway is connected as shown in figure 1: RJ11 cable Serial cable DB9 Bus SCS MYHome Figura 1 Connetions MY-HAI Gateway for operational mode Pag. 6/12

8 7 PROGRAMMING MY-HAI GATEWAY Once the gateway is powered, it will report the correct operation by flashing at intervals of two seconds of a single green LED (RX MyHome side). To correlate with the MyHome devices with HAI Controller a configuration table is loaded into gateway MY-HAI Gateway. RJ11 cable Figura 3 Connections to program MY-HAI Gateway Only for the programming phase of the gateway, you need to use the plug- MY-HAI Adapter, connected between the host PC's serial port and the gateway. Then launch the configuration software MY-HAI Programmer.exe Pag. 8/12

9 Click on Configuration Set HAI controller Model OMNI will open a dialog box, select the main HAI (e.g. OMNI LT). Select the COM port and press Connect the label will read CONNECTED ONLINE. Once connected to the gateway can be seen that the LED will report the serial channels dedicated to coupling with the MY-HAI Programmer with flashing at regular intervals. To assign addresses to devices MyHome select the row to be set and press double click on row. At this point you can select the Type and choose MyHome is a Point of Light (ILLUM) or automated (AUTO), AMB (Ambient) and bus ID (interface) Pag. 9/12

10 Selecting ILLUM Function in the window choose if it is a point light with a dimmer or a 10 or 100 dimming steps. To assign a command to a Group, insert 0 into AMB field, you may notice that the label changes from UNIT to GRP label and AMB changes to ALL. To assign a command to a AMB, will be necessary to place the variable UNIT 0, the label changes to ALL. After configuring all the necessary lines, you can dowload the addresses of the dedicated controls for the Centralite scenes (menu SCENE). 255 line of scenes can be programmed. Once configured addresses press Upload Table and wait for the progress bar reaches the end of the process. To update the firmware version, press Firmware Menu Update After programming, press Disconnect. 8 OPERATIONAL MODE OF MY-HAI GATEWAY Once restored the connections between the bus MyHome, OpenWebNet interface, MY- HAI Gateway and HAI Controller and the power is on, the status LEDs on the gateway will display: - in the absence of data traffic, the flashing LED RX MyHome, indicates that the gateway is operational. - the TX / RX signal alternate traffic data input / output on the two serial ports. 9 TECH SUPPORT Additional information is available on website or can be obtained at support@domoticaintegrata.it Pag. 10/12
