2 Mission The mission of the Intensive English Language Center is to provide quality English-language instruction and cultural orientation to international students and other non-native speakers of English in order to prepare them to be successful members of the academic and social community of the University of Nevada, Reno and the United State of America.

15 Intensive English Language Center Conditional Admission for Undergraduate Students Academically qualified students can be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno at the undergraduate level after they successfully complete the IELC program and receive a recommendation from us Admission Without English Proficiency Test Students may enter Nevada colleges at the undergraduate level after successfully completing our program and receiving a recommendation from us

16 Intensive English Language Center Advanced level students can enroll in one academic class while studying English full-time Students may take physical education classes with our approval

18 Academic Options After IELC IELC works closely with the University of Nevada, Reno, Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) and College of Southern Nevada (CSN) during the transfer process If you attend any Nevada college you will not need to take the TOEFL at the undergraduate level
