Mixed methods were used to determine the effects of a short-term study abroad experience on pre-service teacher candidates' cultural and instructional awareness of diverse learners needs in the classroom. Comparing the Effects of One Community Partnership (Project Learning Tree) on Online Pre- Service Teacher Pedagogical Content Knowledge and Self-Efficacy Paula B. Griffin, Alan B. Sowards, and Cheryl T. Boyette Mixed methods study measures the content knowledge and self-efficacy of pre-service teachers within the framework of an outdoor science field investigation. Short-Term Study Abroad: Threshold to Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Paula B. Griffin Qualitative study measures the impact on pedagogy and cultural awareness of preservice and novice teachers more than one year after participant completion of short-term study abroad. Data collected during weekly interviews with the student teacher, responsive journaling, and classroom observations completed by the researcher.
