This program includes orientation, evaluation of needs assessment and facilitation of clinical competencies. Created, implemented and evaluated a graduate nurse program for 39 nursing recruits. This program encompassed 12 weeks, which included classroom didactic, clinical oversight, medication and skill validation. Developed and co-coordinate the surgical intensive care course as well as skills lab. Co-coordinate the pediatric care class, including mock codes for the pediatric population. Other responsibilities include participating in interdisciplinary care planning and quality assurance teams. Including on going educational needs for the evening staff. Managed an acute care unit, which included managing Medicare patients. Provided Hospice Care to certified Hospice Patients. Maintained the documentation for longterm care residents. Duties as charge nurse included providing enstage AIDS care. The management of the unit included counseling, management of PICC and Peripheral IV lines, CAPD and providing

Mentored by some of the finest nurses and managers. Dressing changes, catheterizations, medication administration and managing family concerns were an integral part of this program.
