Performed clinical at acute care facilities. Care of the Adult Client-II: (didactic and clinical- Twice Annually) In this course there is a focus on nursing care of adults with altered health states. The nursing process is used as a continuing theme to integrate classroom theory with more complex clinical nursing care. There is ground, internet and lab and clinical component to this course. The systems taught would include cardiovascular, hematologic, renal/urinary, arthritis-connective tissue, integumentary, nervous system, vision and hearing systems. Community Health Nursing: (didactic and clinical- Twice Annually). This course focuses on the nursing role in the community, emphasis on concepts and theories related to community health nursing, health promotion and disease prevention. This course is taught on ground, traditional model with some internet assignments. Students are sent to do externships at ministries, daycares, schools, hospices and various other community organizations. Nursing Leadership and Management: (didactic and clinical- Twice Annually) This course is designed to develop beginning leadership skills for the nursing student, that are necessary to manage clients and healthcare workers. Students are monitored as they team up with a leader, manager, charge, administrator for clinical rotation. This course is taught on ground with some internet component course work.
5 Courses Taught Continued: Pharmacology:(didactic-Twice-Annually-Hybrid) In this course nursing students are provided with the knowledge of biologic factors influencing drug actions, predictable side effects, variations in drug action and application of the nursing process in drug therapy; Taught traditionally on ground. NCLEX Review: (didactic- Twice Annually-(Hybrid) This course provides a systematic review of nursing material that will prepare the student for the NCLEX-RN. Both online, and on ground classroom attendance. Health Assessment: (didactic and lab -Twice-Annually-(Hybrid) In this course nursing students are taught the skills of history taking, assessment, and Taught how to actually perform a physical assessment covering all of the body systems and document accurately. Taught in the classroom with some online and video components.
