3 2 Parent Teacher Meeting of MBBS 2014 Batch Held in Auditorium SMS&R Building NEWS Parent Teacher Meet A parent teacher meeting was held for Parents of MBBS Batch 2014 admissions on 17th January, 2014, from 2:00PM 4:00 PM in the Auditorium of SMSR Building. Faculty members involved in the conduction of PTM were: Dr Poonam Kharb & Dr Nirupma Gupta- Anatomy Dr Manisha Jindal & Dr Vijaya Lakshmi- Physiology Dr G.R.K. Rao and Dr Shailza Biochemistry. Queries, doubts or any other problems of parents were addressed and feedback was provided to them about the performance of their wards. High tea was served. The parents were also requested to fill up a feedback form at the end of the interaction. SMS&R Students Participated in Save Girl Child Rally on Girl Child Day 5th Feb A rally was organized by CMO, Gautam Buddh Nagar on 5th Feb to create awareness amongst public regarding Save Girl Child. 154 students of School of Medical Sciences and Research participated enthusiastically in the rally. The participants raised slogans while walking the distance from collectorate office to Pari Chowk in a disciplined way. H ble MLA and DM of Gautam Buddh Nagar graced the event.

4 3 Conference Cum Workshop VAMSCON-2015, 7th & 8th Feb.2015 NEWS Active Participation of 3rd M.B.B.S & PG students of Pathology Department and award of one prize in the Conference cum workshop held at Safdarjang Hospital New Delhi Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Vardhman Medical College & Safdarjang Hospital New-Delhi had organized Conference Cum Workshop (VAMSCON-2015) on 7th &8th Feb students of have actively participated in the conference. They also had prepared 8 posters Under Guidance of Dr. Jyoti Mishra, Assistant professor and Dr. Anchit Goel, Junior Resident Pathology. There were 42 poster two prizes went to host institute(vardhman Medical College,New Delhi). It is for information Please. Thanks Dr.Geeta Deshmukh Professor (Pathology) Seven Medical Colleges ( 5 Govt. Medical colleges and 2 Private Medical College )participated in the conference.our 3PG students(dr.sangeeta, Dr.Anchit & Dr.Mehtab) and 8 undergraduate 3rd semester MBBS presentations from different institutions. Of which 12 including 6 from our institute were selected for second round. Finally out of these,our student, Nikita,(MBBS, 3rd semester ) got 3rd prize while first

His topic of discussion was HIRSUTISM. This will be given to him on 14th February,2015 Dr A J Kanwar HOD, DERMATOLOGY Activities 1 5th Trans hindon medicon was held on 11th january 2015, which was organised by I.M.A. west Ghaziabad. (Dr. Rohit Saxena) was invited as a guest speaker to discuss how to approach the patient of vertigo (Chakkar) which is a very common symptom.
