1 Alumni Lecture For III Sem Electronics Engineering Students Department of Electronics Engineering, G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur had organized Expert Lecture by alumni of this esteemed institute on the topic Advanced Communication Engineering on 1 st September 2015 for III sem A students. The speaker was Mr. Mahendra Dhadwe, Associate Engineer at Captronic Systems Pvt Ltd, G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur. He explained about the basics of communication systems used in industry and also communication based project using LabView. He also explained the technical concepts of communication engineering used in industrial projects. The session was organized by alumni coordinator Prof. S. N. Joshi & coordinated by Prof A. D. Tete. It was a very interactive session and students participated with full zeal.

The speaker was Mr. Mahendra Dhadwe, Associate Engineer at Captronic Systems Pvt Ltd, G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur.

2 Electronics Engineering Department Organized Career Guidance Session Under Alumni Cell On September 14, 2015, Alumni of Electronics Department, Mr. Nikhil Chinchamalatpure Senior Engineer working in Idea Cellular meet students of V sem B & guided them for future. He talked on following points: Self-assessment and awareness of individual skills, values, interests and personality traits How to initiate a job search Industry research and potential career options How to gain experience through internships, volunteering, jobs, and activities Goal setting and implementing a career plan Using decision-making skills to make informed career choices He also supported students to boost the morale and confidence and gave new directions to the students which will be beneficial for them in future. The overall activity was coordinated by Prof. S. N. Joshi & Prof B. B. sayankar under guidance of Dr. S. S. Dorle, HOD, Electronics Engineering department.

He talked on following points: Self-assessment and awareness of individual skills, values, interests and personality traits How to initiate a job search Industry research and potential career options

3 Alumni Guest Lecture for 5 th SEM Electrical Engineering Students A guest lecture was delivered by Mr.Sumeet Nege on 23/09/2015. He is 2013 pass out student of Electrical Engineering Department. He is currently working as Project management coordinator in Infinite Company in Pune.He interacted with the students of the 5 th SEM Electrical Engineering section A, and motivated them how to become a successful Engineer, what quality should have as an Engineer. Also he gave them a current scenario in the industries and scope of Electrical Engineers in his field.

He is currently working as Project management coordinator in Infinite Company in Pune.

4 Industrial Visit to Infocepts Pvt Ltd. Nagpur through reference of CSE alumni Achal Batra Computer Science Engineering Department of G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering has organized Industrial Visit for Vth Semester Sec A & B CSE students at Infocepts Pvt Ltd. Nagpur.Total 45 students with one faculty members Prof. G R Talmale from CSE department have attended the Industrial Visit. Infocepts Pvt Ltd. Nagpur is software industry and work on various platforms. They mainly work on Business Intelligence. Infocepts engineer has given knowledge about BI application and development,data visualization and Big Data. The main aim of this visit is to provide students a glimpse of the actual work situation and to understand the industry environment and to gain some work experience. Visit was conducted through reference of cse alumni Achal Batra who is HR in Infocepts pvt Ltd. Participants: UG Vth sem Sec A & B No. of Participants: 45 students

G R Talmale from CSE department have attended the Industrial Visit. Infocepts Pvt Ltd. Nagpur is software industry and work on various platforms. They mainly work on Business Intelligence.

5 Visit to Ashok Leyland Training Centre Students of first semester and third semester M.Tech heat power engineering visited Ashok Leyland Training Centre situated at Hariganga campus,nagpur on 24/09/2015.They were given information how to identify the engine allied problem occurred in vehicle and how to rectify the problem. Also they were informed about the various testings conducted in the workshop. Total 35 students were present during the visit. The visit was organized by Mr. Amol Futane and Mr.Ashish Bhagat alumni of M.Tech 2011 & 2015 batch respectively. Prof V.W Khond of Mechanical Engineering was present along with the students.

They were given information how to identify the engine allied problem occurred in vehicle and how to rectify the problem.

6 Webinar by Alumni Mr. Inder Panjabi for Electronics Engg, Students A Webinar by Mr. Inder Panjabi, Alumni of foundation batch of Electronics Department is organized on 26 th September He guided VII sem students of department on advanced trends in communication engineering and use of embedded systems in communication industry. He discussed new updates going on in this sector. Mr. Inder Panabi is working as Senior Specialist in Ericsson, New Delhi. He has taken new updates of college from students and discusses issue of industrial internship with students. He also asks students to concentrate on their short term goal and think about what they want to do in future. The talk started at around 11:30 AM using Skype. This webinar is organized by Prof S. N. Joshi & coordinated by Mr. Ravi Tiwari.

Inder Panabi is working as Senior Specialist in Ericsson, New Delhi. He has taken new updates of college from students and discusses issue of industrial internship with students.

7 Webinar by Alumni Mr. Suchintra Singh and Mr. Nikhil Wandhare for MCA Students of GHRCE, Nagpur A Webinar by our Alumni s Mr. Suchintra Singh and Mr. Nikhil Wandhare on recent trends in IT, future scope and How to prepare for the Interviews was conducted on 19 th September, 2015 for MCA students. They are pass out students of MCA department from 2014 batch have got placements in reputed companies of Nagpur. They started talk at around 11:00 AM on Skype by introducing their background and struggle they have gone through to get placed in such companies. Then interacted with our students by asking question from both sides and answered in a very motivating and inspiring way. Students learned so many things to prepare well in advance for any company and motivated to do so to face placement processes. They were so happy by interacting with their seniors and cleared all the doubts about all academic processes and benefits by facing them. Students were thanked to Director, Dr. Preeti Bajaj Madam, Dean T & P Cell, HOD, MCA Department of GHRCE to provide such a great opportunity to interact with Alumni s. Event was organized by Prof. Pravin S. Ghatode.

8 Visit to Bajaj Steel Industries limited, Nagpur Students of first semester and third semester M.Tech heat power engineering and CAD/CAM visited Bajaj Steel Industries limited, Nagpur, on 26/09/2015.They were given information about the steel plant, various operations conducted in industry and manufacturing techniques. They were also informed about the heat treatment processes and various advanced techniques used in the plant. The visit was conducted in two groups each of 20 no of students The visit was organized by Mr. Anoop Bhawsagar alumni of B.E 2003 batch.prof Abhijeet Getame of Mechanical Engineering was present along with the 40 no of students.

They were given information about the steel plant, various operations conducted in industry and manufacturing techniques.

9 Guest Lecture Introduction to Electronics organized by Electronics & Telecoomunication Department under Alumni Activity Electrical and Electronic is a very important part of everyday life. It covers the generation, storage and use of power. Electrical and Electronic engineers are involved in the analysis of existing systems (whether electrical, electronic or computer systems) and they are often involved in creating and designing new products and systems for manufacturing industries. Thus the knowledge of electronic devices in practical aspects is also important. To serve this purpose, a gusset lecture Introduction to Electronics is organized for First year L section students on 23 rd September Mr. Niraj Choudhary(Founder,SWIT ) alumni of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department delivered a talk on practical use of Electronic devices. Around 60 students were present for the same. The lecture was organized by Ms. F. T. Ansari & Ms. Priti Gade, Assistant professor of the department.

10 The Department of Management Studies, GHRCE have organized an industrial visit to 93.5 Red FM Nagpur on 2 nd September, All MBA First semester & third semester took part in the visit. The students were taken around the FM station. The students were briefed about the various activities taking place the station. The department of Management studies thanks Mr. Mukesh Dubey (Cluster head Nagpur & Chhattisgarh) for his kind corporation for organising the visit. The students were accompanied by Dr. Rajshree Admane and Prof. K Dharmik. The visit was coordinated by Prof. M Menon.
